The LA Clippers defeated the Boston Celtics, 113-93. Kawhi Leonard recorded a season-high 25 points (10-12 FG), 9 rebounds, and 6 assists for the Clippers, while Paul George added 26 points and 6 rebounds in the victory. Jayson Tatum tallied 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the Celtics. The Clippers improve to 16-13 on the season, while the Celtics fall to 21-7. (edited)

And Kawhi isnt even fully healthy yet, looked a lot better, but clearly still another level his body can get to. And this is why before the season I still had him as top 5, maybe even top 3 if his fully healthy. People always have recency bias and get hyped about young players like Tatum, Ja, Shai etc and even Jokic and Embiid to an extent putting up big numbers in regular season and start to say their better than healthy Kawhi, but until they prove it in playoffs, give me healthy Kawhi any day of the week whos proven he can be the number 1 option on a championship team
It's almost as if Kawhi waited to play like this until he played the Celtics when ppl were calling Tatum and brown the best 2 way duo in league and Kawhi heard the chatter and was like: "hold my load management" 🤣. And with this performance he put that to sleep cuz they not only beat the Celtics but they beat them in dominating fashion. Sure Boston had to go small bcuz they didn't have horford and Williams. But the clippers only reliable center is zubac. And they play small alot.
