Dang… Boucher is a hidden cone
I really have believed what this graph is suggesting for awhile. First of all OG is incredible. Scottie I think is actually really solid on ball, but not great because he’s inconsistent. He really guarded Banchero well for a lot of possessions the other night. He had bad moments like always where he completely gets blown by, but those lapses this graph suggests – aren’t effecting his overall defensive percentages like opponent FG% etc. It also suggests that Boucher’s on ball defence is pretty shaky. I think his tendency to jump at shooters with all his might leads to a lot of points and a high opponent FG% on people he’s guarding, as well as opponents realizing he’s not hard to post up or box out for offensive rebounds.
