You know it’s real tears when you can’t look the other person in the eyes 🙁

I’m glad you posted this. I teared up just a little.
I’ll always root for Monty, absolute class. He was such a rock for Ryan Anderson when Ryno was dealing with his girlfriend’s suicide.

Monty man. Just good guy Monty.

Very nice moment, very human and very kind from Monty, who’s been through a lot himself. Glad we won in Silas’ return

Monty is a great guy but his coaching and adjustments haven’t been good

Monty knows loss better than most. I’m not happy with him as a coach at the moment, but his character and empathy is off the charts.

What an absolute class act Monty Williams is. Brought Silas in like he was consoling his little brother. Couldn’t help but be reminded of having to hug my younger sister like that as we were watching my father pass away last September. Beautiful moment from Monty.

Stephen Silas needs some respect, all these coaches coming up to him like “My son” instead of i got son-ed

Lost my dad to covid 2 years ago. Your entire life there’s just this guy. Gets on you, gives you advice, money, support, a ton of shit. You don’t really think about it, it’s just there. Then one day, he’s gone. And you realize it’s just you now. You let your mind trick you into thinking, when’s the next time Im gonna see him? Like he went on some work trip or something and he’ll be back. But then you realize it’s going to be a whole lifetime before you get to talk to him again.
The grief slowly disappears but never really gone. Then one day you’re fixing some bullshit in your house, using the tools he left you, and you find yourself thinking: damn, I miss my dad.

How broken a person has to be to cry like that on someone else’s shoulder in the middle of a crowd.
Respect for this attitude between two gentlemen.

It’s beautiful to see how Monty has channeled horrific personal pain into this kind of genuine deep empathy. does my heart good to see stephen comforted like this right now too, he seems like such a good person

Coach Silas really looked like he needed that. I can’t imagine how hard this must be for him. 😔

My hatred of the Suns is only matched by my love of Monty Williams.

Even more impactful when you think about the loss that Monty Williams has experienced. It’s just different when someone who has been through something like that acknowledges your pain and you KNOW that they understand.
