I keep seeing posts on here criticising us for going small, acting like we have this bench of 6”7-6”10 wings who are getting DNP-CD’s!
Don’t you guys get it? Without AD and LeBron, the only NBA-level players we have are guards. JTA was injured but is unplayable offensively, Bryant cannot guard anyone and Jones is a g-league player. We literally have no forwards! The fact we keep saying ‘man we need Wenyen back’ tells you all you need to know about the standard of our roster.
Put it this way… THIS season’s version of Markieff Morris (who isn’t playing much for the Nets) would easily play 25 minutes per night on our roster.
This is why we needed to make a trade and actually being in some size. The second AD gets in foul trouble or needs to rest, or LeBron has a bad night, we are basically cooked.
Plus, before tonight the combination of Bev/Schroeder/Nunn/Russ had only played a combined 25 minutes together all season.
