The New Orleans Pelicans are the hottest team in the NBA right now and are looking like legit contenders. They are currently on a 7 game winning streak (longest in the NBA) and have won 9 out of their last 10 games. Zion Williamson has been playing at a generational and star level right now averaging 25 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists. Besides Zion, this team is very deep and can matchup with anyone especially in the playoffs. They have been playing this well without Brandon Ingram and Herb Jones and also with CJ McCollum not playing at his usual level. The Pelicans are also getting good production from Jose Alvarado, Trey Murphy III, Naji Marshall, Larry Nance Jr, Jonas Valanciunas, Dyson Daniels, and Devonte’ Graham.

C J McCollum got sick early in the season. Then he was injured. When he came back he got CoVid. He is just beginning to return to normal.
Just addressing the 3 point question: they are outscoring teams without having to resort to the 3 point shot. Stats have proven that this is the more effective gameplan. although the amount of 3 pointers has risen in the past twenty years, the percentage of made 3 poiners hasn't grown, and hasn't effective the outcome of games in any significant margin.
Taking the better odds shots and only getting 2 points than taking shots where you get 3 points, but at less of a chance, regularly leads to scoring more points over the span of a game.
Today's fans are under th belief that a team like the Warriors, who mainly rely on the three, is the best way to play on offense. But they only were effective when the other teams tried to emulate what they were doing. They lost to a Cavs team in the Finals that relied more on scoring underneath.
And also, the NBA changed the rules to be less beneficial to shooters. See CP3's overturned foul against Zion that resulted in his getting the foul and receiving his final foul, thus removing him from the game.
Hardin is a shell of himself since the new rule changes. So is almost every "Great" shooter ofthe last ten years. The game is going back to the big guys underneath being the focal point.
Like Shaq said: Forget what others are saying/ Keep being a bully under the rim. Until they can stop you, drive to the rim.
Health is the only deterrent 💯
