I honestly think this Mavs team is one move away from being a contender.
The one move would be trading 14 of their players for 14 other, better players.
How do we have the 2nd best player in the entire world, in a 5 person game, and get our ass kicked every other outing?

Mavs have suffered from never blowing up the team really between the Dirk and Luka handoff. It’s time. There’s nothing to lose at this point. And hanging on to a conference finals appearance from last year will look dumber by the day.
Edit: so duh, they did blow up the team for KP. But the guys they traded never felt like Mavs anyways. Was Powell and Kleber as well. Just seems the same, but wanted to point out my idiot moment.
So make a trade which seems hard to do or tank as we arent winning this year like this. Kidd is making some glaring errors as well. Brutal.

We’re literally a .500 level team with an undisputed top 3 player in the world. Can’t describe how pathetic that is.
Went to HEB tonight, got some snow crab, few macarons and pastries, selection of sushi, and ate all of it. I’m so full. I had a great night because I didn’t waste my time on this trash.
The Mavs needs a 10 game losing streak. Only way for them to wake up and make changes and hopefully get an offensive coordinator to help Kidd out.
This team is one great player plus a bunch of washed one dimensional role players that cant dribble and cant make free throws. The jazz, okc, cavs, pelicans, grizzlies have better futures than this team.

With about a third of the season done, I feel like we can say that the big difference between this year and last year is that the jig might up with our defense. Kidd did a great job to squeeze out a top 10 defense last year given the personnel we had, but teams have had an offseason to adjust to our tactics, and our guys are a bit older with more wear on their tear after that playoff run. Teams are no longer letting us get away with the complete lack of presence in the paint.
Cavs are the #1 defense in the league with 2 players that absolutely lock the paint down. I very much expected that Luka would have a hard time tonight (and if you stop Luka, you’ve stopped the Mavs offense), so this was a game that had to have been won with a great defensive performance. What we got was Lamar Stevens cutting to an easy layup like 10 times tonight.
David Bertans gets 16+ million and doesn’t even play.
Kemba Walker, Jaden Hardy and Frank are the solutions to Jalen Brunson, and they don’t even play. Frank has a little now but it hasn’t done anything.
Wood was traded for, was supposed to be the replacement for KP, but doesn’t start and plays like a glorified 7th man off the bench.
Cuban says getting back THJ from injury when the guy is nothing more than a streaky chucker, was like a free agent signing.
DFS, Kleber, Bullock for most of the season and Powell have all regressed. They can’t dribble, can’t get their own shot, miss a lot of wide open shots they do get, aren’t the defensive presence they’re supposed to be, and are costing the team a lot of money all while being on longer term deals (Powell isn’t but you KNOW he isn’t leaving.)
These core players that are all around 30 or older are what is on those longer deals.
Wood, Dinwiddie and Green are the only guys on the team besides Luka worth their tag, and that’s just sad.
The team misses free throws, open layups and threes like college players or worse and get so lost defending players on the other end.
Make it make sense. Why do we go through this every season just for the team to provide a little hope before we’re right back to the same garbage again every year.
And then Mark Cuban will like posts saying Luka doesn’t need help. Clueless
