Ever since Thibs went to a 9-man rotation the defense has drastically improved, particularly because of Grimes, McBride & Robinson.
I can’t believe with Obi out, Cam and Rose are still glued to the bench. I’m not sure how they can continue this run only using Hartenstein, Sims, IQ and McBride off the bench.
45 wins, forget play in, a possible 6th seed in a much improved Eastern conference.

The change to the 9 man rotation has been key for the Knickerbockers. The 5 game streak is good. I feel like we can make the playoffs and not be a play in team. Still a lot of basketball left but the trend is heading in the right direction.

It's crazy, like we said in the group, Knicks need time and Thibs looks like he got it right.yes they look like the team they're were two season ago in a short amount of game. Hopefully they can play like this for the whole season, they can be better than that team from two seasons ago. JB is better than Elf, a healthy Mitch is better than Noel, I like Grimes over Bullock, RJ is better now than back then and Randle is being Randle.Plus they have a better bench, denfensly that is, the offense is coming. Time will tell, they have to play this way all the time
Give him a REAL point guard and guys committed to defense and you can see why Thibs has the 11th-best all-time winning coaching percentage. People couldn't wait to toss him last year when he couldn't hide THREE defensive liabilities in the starting rotation at once (Randle, Fournier, Kemba Walker) before finally being left with no starting NBA point guards whatsoever once Kemba mercifully got benched and before I. Quick turned his season around. Finally showing results from all the off-season work, Quick exploded late in the season after it was too late while everyone said coach should have been starting him from the beginning, but he was TERRIBLE to start the season last year, Rose (too old to be a starter anymore anyway) was out, and the 2nd unit needed a PG as much as the 1st one did, so he stayed there while Alec Burks was played out–WAY OUT–of position.
Now that all they have to do is cover for Brunson defensively a little (though he's showing more energy on that end) while throwing the three bulldogs at opponents–Grimes, McBride, and I. Quick–we're finally seeing the promise of the 2020-21 season being fulfilled.
