I tried to clean up the transcripts so its not exactly word for word but the context should still be intact even though its a lil sloppy. Sorry I don’t have that much time

    63. JERAMI GRANT –

Bill Simmons: I did not expect to have on here, but he’s been just really good on Portland, those reps that he got in Detroit. All those scoring reps have really helped him and that was a pretty good trade all the way around, he’s got a good contract too, he’s only I think 20 million This Year, free agent

    49. SHAEDON SHARPE –

B: This is a lil bit of a deep cut league pass, I’m not sure how focused people have been on second quarter Portland games. There’s an athleticsm with this dude and you can go, go on youtube and just google Shaedon Sharpe highlights. Somethings different about him. There’s a hangtime thing with him that is ….really really really unsual and I don’t know where it goes. He’s taller and he’s kinda Kobe’s height but he’s bigger he’s 6’6 but he’s a lil bit bigger. But he can kinda hang around around the rim up in the air in these different ways and really really special but also like, i like the way he carries himself, i like his 3-point shot. They might really have something with that dude.

Joe House : Yeah, it’s interesting You put a A guy like this into this list and you look at all the names behind him and people will say that, your this is absurd. This is, you know, a classic Portlands….

B: I guarantee the Portland fans will not think it’s absurd

J : But here’s here’s some Telltale. In addition to the athleticism, you’re describing, the guy, you know, has played in 26, professional basketball games?

    B: Yeah.

J: And he’s shooting 47% from the field in his 20 minutes of game.

    B: Yeah!

J: and You know, over 30 percent from three, he’s ready to play NBA basketball. He is playing NBA basketball. I mean, I look at the guy that the Washington Wizards drafted and where I’m going to stop doing this, but the comparison between what Shaedon Sharp looks like as a potential NBA player….

( they go on a lil of a tangent )

B: so the thing was sharp six million a year. Basically they have them for four years. and, I don’t know, man. I What I value in basketball, if you’ve listened all the pods and red meat really is, it’s always the same right to watch this dude who’s 19, who had this weird Kentucky season last year and he comes on this team and the teams good and he’s already figured out how to get his 20 minutes, a game and play pretty well and have some moments. I think that’s so much more impressive than if you’re on a shit team playing 30 minutes game. Putting up stats, like he’s already navigated how to matter on a good team or decent team.

J: If Kentucky hadn’t been the kind of team they were last season, easy case For him as a potential number two overall pick. I mean, I know Chet put did what he did and we saw at Gonzaga on the big stage. If we had seen more Kentucky and we seen, you know, what was going on with that that team on the stage, I think there might have been a case for Shaedon As as number two overall

B: I have a great comp for him that I’m not going to say in the pod but I’ll save it for the piece.

    32. ANFERNEE SIMONS –

B: Just bullied his way into the top 35, just bullied it!

J: We were waiting, we’re waiting, we were waiting, we watched a lot of games of Anfernee Simon’s on Portland and Portland, you know, trying to prop him up and then he’s wasn’t ready, had to pull him back down. And they tried to prop him up back over the last three seasons. They tried, you know, And here he is.

B: I think, you know, it is? we had our guard up because Portland’s tried to do this to us before with people, like Rudy Fernandez.

    J: Great Point, Great Point.

B: All these people who would be these awesome assets and never made it but, he had that forty five point game must’ve been like a week and a half ago where he also made it I think it was against Utah. Where we also made the two best defensive plays, maybe it was Saturday night? He’s a dead eye scorer. He has these runs where he’s just like, feels like he’s scoring for five straight possessions. He plays really nice with Dame. He’ll have every once in a while have like a six-point box score, like what happened that night?

    J: That’s right, that’s right

B: But for the most part a really good contract. 25 million a year, basically, for somebody that every year has got better. So love him. I was worried, he was “good stats, bad team” guy but he’s not

    J: He’s not

    22. DAMIAN LILLARD

B: Huge contract. Massive just ridiculously expensive. He’s in the 50s and with an extension but then he hit 11 threes last night. When he’s healthy he’s good. We were worried, you hadn’t seen him healthy in like 18 months but he’s shown enough I think the last six weeks that I feel ok havin him in the top 25. And Also, one of the rare guys who means a shitload to his City!

J: That’s it, he’s synonymous with Portland. It doesn’t matter what the contract is. He had so many opportunities, It was reported that he was interested, He was like “those reports are all garbage.I’m never leaving, I love it here, I’m staying, I’m the guy here.I love what’s going on. I’m going to make it work” and that’s what he did

B: Yeah, “I want to win a title here.”

    J: It’s great.

  3. Its crazy how hard it is to describe the special “it” factor of Shaedon. Ive tried to describe it to some friends but you really have to see it to understand. Just saying he has one of the highest verticals ive seen in real time doesnt do it justice, and saying hes an athletic freak makes people think super fast/strong. For me It looks like he just floats in the air. The hang time is unreal and he glides around the court so effortlessly. Its really unique stuff. I feel as if you could put someone who has an identical vertical leap as him, have them jump at the same time, and Shaedon will be in the air much longer lol.

  4. Mr-B-Hizzle

I really enjoyed watching this, thank you.
