Cmon. Lakers were looking 2 pieces away before this news. They need to have a fire sale tho.

  2. AD playing 46 minutes and 34 straight didn’t help

  3. LAKESHOW03

Don’t even care if a trade is made now. Pelicans getting a top 3 pick will be hilarious. Jeanie such a poor owner

  4. Resident_Frame

LeBron and AD had to play playoff minutes before fucking Christmas because of 0 depth. They got what they wanted for sure.

  5. nottherealstanlee

Yall need a scapegoat for everything. Freak injuries just fuckin happen to AD. Shit sucks.

I kinda agree. I know AD injury prone but the Lakers and F.O. didn’t really take precautionary actions to help AD avoid this kind of injury. Playing heavily in the past games and they didn’t use their backup bigs to preserve AD. Especially Bryant or the other option pushed the Turner-Hield deal a month ago. Now, they have reason not to make a trade using this one as an excuse that making a trade when AD is out might be a lost cause.

If only AD got some reliable big (Turner) or if only they utilized their signed bigs (regardless of how they play instead of AD doing it all). This injury can be avoided.

She should sell the team. It’s simple, penny pinching with this kind of franchise is inexcusable. Their father built a dynasty, his children are destroying it. Sell the team and go away please.

  8. This is what these two clowns wanted. To continue to kick the can, let AD/Bron get hurt/empty their tanks and punt the season.

jeanie doesnt have what it takes to run the Lakers her notorious indecision and cheapness has caused the lakers to turn into the running joke of the nba its a shame what she and her “inner circle” has done to this great franchise once upon a time..

  10. I think the way his frame is built will always be the reason he’ll be injury prone.

  11. Jeanie vetoed the trade to get Myles Turner who would’ve surely helped AD not be ran into the ground. Pelinka signed 10 guards, they’re both absolutely at fault.

Idgaf about “injury prone”, as an organization you do what’s best to maximize your players and that means knowing their strengths and weaknesses.

“We KNOW AD has been hurt the past several seasons but fuck it, we don’t need another good defensive big as assurance! We don’t need better spacing to make it easier for him on offense!”

It’s malpractice, it’s basketball terrorism, it’s stupidity and bad faith acting at the highest level. They’re both imbeciles and cheapskates.

    That’s because you’re a crybaby

I rewatched the play where AD got injured a bunch of times on 0.25x speed. It could have happened at any point. His foot got caught on Jokic’s shin driving under the basket for a reverse layup. The only way to avoid that injury is to avoid that move. If he’s not using his quickness and length to score under the basket, he isn’t the elite version of AD.

    They suck. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry)

They did get AD to Lakers like Bron asked and won the bubble ring. But then they listened to Bron and AD and traded all the decent 3 and D guys for westbrook lol

They absolutely have responsibility for putting AD in this position. Imagine you’re AD and you don’t have a great track history for staying healthy, and your BOSS forces you play the position that is MOST DEMANDING on the body. The 5 position has to bang and rebound and run baseline to baseline every play. It’s not easy, it’s no surprise most 5 positions don’t stay healthy. Rob and Jeannie should absolutely shoulder the blame.

  17. thewindisthemoons

Dumb take. It’s fuckin frustrating when you have a player who can dominate be injured every single year. But it could be worse.

  18. RandolphE6

Arguably the worst run franchise since Jerry Buss died.

  19. It’s getting to the point where I’m surprised when AD isn’t hurt. We hitched our wagon to the wrong horse. Like the saying goes – the best ability is availability. AD is not the one.

  20. Substantial-Space900

Basic 101 of management… put people in the position to succeed. These two have no idea how to manage or run a company.

  21. iamtherealaj99

Should have traded AD when he was
On fire 😂. Now back to the IL

  22. Dismal_Committee_696

What u mean somehow. This is arguably all their fault

  23. Substantial-Space900

They don’t care if lakers lose. People still gonna buy tickets, people still gonna buy merch, people still gonna watch the games.

  24. Plumbanddumb

It’s great that they got lebron what he wanted. But one chip wasn’t worth it if the Lakers were going down like this. Arguably the worst seasons in Lakers’ history.

  25. AD having to play massive minutes, and 100% of the time at center, surely played a part. Having to be the center that has to cover for all those 3-4 guard lineups didn’t help either. Fuck these two

  26. captain_ahabb

This is an insane post. Rob didn’t break AD’s foot!
