Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added 20 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists for the Nuggets in the victory, while LaMelo Ball tallied 31 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the Hornets. The Nuggets improve to 18-11, while the 7-23.

Incredible game from Jokic but Nuggets need to improve their defense if they're really going to contend in the playoffs. This was the Hornets — not the Bucks. Shouldn't be this close at home.

3rd straight MVP coming. Nuggets are winning games and he leads NBA in PER, WinShare, BPM, VORP. No need to hype TATUM! He's not even in the TOP 5 best player per advanced stats. He will have his time but not this year. Luka, Giannis, Durant and Curry are far more valuables. Even AD is better than him.
Nuggets barely won against Hornets; one of the worst teams with record of 7-23.
This reflects Denver's systemic defensive problems; 2nd worst defensive rating in NBA.
Nuggets desperately need a capable perimeter defender; not only to anchor their defense, but to also reinvigorate team's defensive mentality.
They need someone like Holiday, Smart, Crowder… or even PJ Tucker.
Denver needs to trade MPJ & free up cap space to sign a skilled defender.
MPJ is a "catch & shoot" role player, with a very limited skill set.
Aaron Gordon can do much more offensively than MPJ plus he is a much better defender.
