I’m not saying we should tank yet BUT if it comes to that, it’s comforting to know that even beyond Victor Wembanyama, the 2023 draft is extremely deep and talented! IMO there are about 7 guys who could be legit franchise players and a TON of high-level shooters…so if we were going to be a lottery team, this would be the year to do it…if Masai does choose to make a blockbuster trade, we could end up with a couple of lottery picks in 2023 and a boatload of 1st round picks over the next few seasons which would mean we could pair Scottie with a couple of high-level “franchise” type stars and we would be loaded to gills with young talent! it’s hard not to get excited about that!
Here’s a great article on the 2023 prospects

This is being said every year. Honestly the only one that’s generational is wembemyama
Anyone reading this who loves basketball but is getting frustrated watching the Raptors this season, try checking out other leagues like the NCAA, LNB Pro A and G League and follow prospects. Like I’ll still watch the Raptors regardless, but following other leagues and young players is fun.
Of all the guys here Brandon Miller is the only one with the size and defensive upside that would be a fit for the Raptors.
Honestly people are just repeating what they hear about this draft being “super deep”. If you are actually are dialed in on the draft, it’s quite a weak draft after the first 12 or so picks.
However, this draft DOES have some very high end talent up top, obviously wemby and scoot are elite, but amen, whitmore and miller are all very strong top 5 picks as well.
Of course the truth is we don’t know and know one does who will be a good player or not. . If you claim to know you are a liar. Once again just look at the last twenty or so drafts. How many top ten can’t miss prospects flame out as journeymen. The number is far greater than players that turn out. It’s a crapshoot.
idk how kendric davis doesnt even make the list, ik hes old but hes the best pg in the nation and the other older guys make the list too, maybe im just biased
Give me GG Jackson or Ausar Thompson
