In Episode 1304, Sean Woodley goes solo to sort through the wreckage after the Toronto Raptors dropped their fourth and fifth-straight games over the weekend, first to the Brooklyn Nets on a Kyrie Irving buzzer-beater, and then to the Golden State Warriors without Steph Curry. Woof. Things are grim right now, and Sean digs into the littany of small to medium issues that have compounded and come together to make things in Toronto extremely Not Fine, with no clear next step for the team to take. Sean discusses the undeniable impact the injuries have had on the team’s continuity and ability to execute its desired schemes, while also pointing out the front office’s role in the lack of depth on the roster, and the need for Nick Nurse to simplify things if the personnel can’t hang with his schemes. Next, Sean gets into some things the Raptors can do to right the ship, which begins with no longer playing Christian Koloko regular rotation minues. Also included: an aside about why the answer is most definitely not to start trying to tank for Victor Wembanyama. Lastly, Sean digs into the Good (Scottie Barnes closing against the Nets), the Bad (uhh, most of the roster) and the Hmm (Malachi Flynn starting the second half against the Warriors) before rounding out the show. Blargh.

If you were in charge of the Raptors, what would your next move be?
Lol raptors fans are not panicking. In the end of the day FVV and Siakam are place holders and will be traded sooner or later
The only fans that are panicking are the ones who thinks that Fred and Siakam can lead the raptors to a championship
Spot on sean, koloko is not a starter right now.
If tanking means developing Flynn, Champagnie, Dowtin and Koloko… I'm down with that. They won't go far without a major acquisition..
Please no Nickey Nurse slanders lol it's me the biggest Nursery supporter
It's not like Nurse can't teach offense, look at their D, there's no connectivity. Imagine Nurse teaching offense to these low IQs, brainless zombies, the Turnovers will be astronomical. Best to let Nurse game this with iso ball
Tanking is not the answer. The way they are playing now they are play-in or lottery bound anyway.
If nothing improves a month from now and play-in is looking more and more likely, Masai will likely right the tank.
Bring available is the most important thing….and Raps are too injured and when you look at how someone like Lebron prepares of the season, I just don't think players on the Raps anywhere near doing the right activities to strengthen their bodies
looool this is the dumbest take, take a step back and look at the broad picture can the team compete for a championship even when healthy, no they can't. If they can't compete you have to start looking at salaries / time window of the players. It makes sense to rebuild now, if we keep trudging along and keep staying mediocre! (not good enough to win, not bad enough for a high draft pick) we're gonna to be in for WORLDS of pain when players leave when they get disillusioned with the team and the draft class isn't robust as the current.
