How the Brooklyn Nets built a “big” team without traditional size. Plus a value buy in Alex Caruso

The guys break down the building evidence that suggests this team can continue their successful run. Jacque Vaughn has the temperature of the locker room and his key adjustments have paid dividends. The guys discuss how the Nets lack a Big in the traditional sense, but are building a roster of length across key positions.
Nic Claxton remains the subject of fans ire, but Kevin Durant and Jacque Vaughn further support Doug and Adams belief that he is a critical piece to Brooklyn’s season success.
They close out with a note on the Chicago Bulls Alex Caruso, who in keeping with Sean Marks off-season theme, would further provide length and defensive value a key position of need as the Nets progress towards the trade-deadline.

  1. Oh yeah, it’s lit let me hurry up and get some food so I could be ready for this episode 🔥😌

  2. My is can relay on clax playoffs times ganna need to solid us 💪🏽🔥 he’s fo real a beast !

  3. Brooklyn needs to look at all the available center options

Myles Turner John Collins and Nikola Vucevic are the all in type trades which could help Brooklyn in important ways.

Turner would significantly give Brooklyn a top notch defense rotation which could be Kevin Durant Ben Simmons Kyrie Irving Royce o Neale and Myles Turner.

Collins who plays two positions at forward and center could give Brooklyn versatility with rotations.

Nikola is a good offensive center who could help Ben Simmons unlock another layer of his offense and having a stretch five would allow Ben Simmons to operate a new dimension of Brooklyn offense.

However there are affordable options such as Andre Drummond and Mo Bamba. Drummond is familiar with Brooklyn system and is still the top rebounder in the league. Mo Bamba though could be a great long term investment for Brooklyn future. Bamba can provide rebounding and blocking but his offense could take a big step playing with the Nets.

    Again Brooklyn has options

  4. Alex Caruso would be a smart trade for Brooklyn. His pesky elite defense coupled with his ability to be a rim runner, three point scorer, and a assist passer gives Brooklyn more versatility and a another big component for their bench.

Plus a possible defensive rotation of Kevin Durant Ben Simmons Alex Caruso Nic Claxton and Yuta Watanabe could be 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.

  5. Best trade that we can make that is actually feasible and would add to our roster . Harris , Thomas and 2 second round picks for Kuma, gafford.. send Seth to Memphis for Green..
    Simmons , Sumner
    Irving, O'Neal
    Durant , Watanabe
    Kuma, Warren
    Claxton , Gafford

  6. Instead of Caruso, go shopping on Dallas roster, they need help right now and looking for a spark

Ntilikina does everything Caruso does better, he just wants to be a PG. can probably get joe contract off the books. Ntilikina cheap and a perfect complement to both stars, he will shore up the perimeter defense, he’s honestly better than Royce and just as effective defending 1-4

Bigger Sumner with more defensive range and prettier stroke

  7. PG: Ben Simmons
    SG: Kyrie Irving
    SF: Kevin Durant
    PF: John Collins
    C: Nic Claxton

    This starting Lineup can work

  8. It's the duty of the head coach to maximize the strengths and minimize the weaknesses of the players on the team to form a cohesive unit. A team is like a family that members have different strengths and weaknesses but combined, over a period of time, a cohesive unit can be formed. Kyrie is a scorer but not a good rebounder or defender. Claxton is a good defender/rebounder but a poor free throw shooter. Ben is a good facilitator but not a good scorer. Jack of all trades players will always be in short supply. I could go on and on but the point I'm making is that it's head coach's job to figure out how to fit all the pieces in place to maximize the results. I trust Jacque Vaughn to figure it all out even if the wolves gather at his front door if we lose to any combination of the Warriors, Bucks, Cavaliers, or Hawks over the next two weeks.

  9. They need to add Boogie Cousins on the team. A big that can score inside and outside. Also a rebounder.
