Someone on there posted earlier that he had a feeling JW would have a big game with at least 21. Dude was right. We gotta give him props.

Defense was also pretty good and he successfully switched guards onto him multiple times. Would of probably went for 40 if his teammates gave it to him after he did those switches and if Lamb doesn’t turn into Derek Carr and passes it to Wiseman wide open under the rim. These guys too three hungry when Wiseman is scoring everything

He had some hella nice screens today, can’t understand why he can’t do it consistently.

Defense needs to get better. He’s a big man and needs to defend like one. Atleast the fouls are under control though?

Offensively, he needs to slow it down for himself. Throw in a pump fake here and there, use that pivot foot. No way you should be fading away against KD lol.

Rebounding was for sure better than yesterday, but obviously that’s a low as fuck bar lol

He’s showing improvement, long way to go. He needs to continue willingness to learn and keep his head up, his time will come.

kerr needs to realize that wiseman should be getting more minutes than lamb and JMG. wiseman is solid on offense and defense

So what do you think the plan is for him? Are they gonna try to send him back to the g league?

  7. Personal_Quantity_55

He looks like he could be a problem to me. Idk what to say. Everybody’s down on him but he’s huge, athletic, and can shoot.

Okay my personal unfounded non professional opinion. We need to create an offensive scheme around him. Instead of him trying to fit a system, maybe develop a system around him. Because he is real good when he gets opportunities, he needs to get the ball down low. So maybe run some offense around him and have two ways to play instead of forcing a square through a circle?

  9. Jammer250

Hell of an effort. As others have said, he needs minutes to learn and improve.

It’s always been clear they should pass to him more. Give him minutes and he’ll get better, same as in the G-league.

  11. I gotta say, have we tried playing him at the 4 with looney yet? The spacing wouldn’t be great, but it would literally be better than JMG + Loon or dray + loon. I’m not saying start him obviously, but like kuminga comes in whenever Wiggins/dray leave the court, and Wiseman can come in whenever dray/looney leaves the court. He’s okay at on ball defense, just doesn’t make rotations or contest PNR bigs very well.

He doesn’t really need spacing on offense because he finishes so efficiently no matter what. Idk. Wiseman’s offense with looneys defense could AT LEAST be worth looking at while Steph’s out. Might as well try it in some random blow out game one day and see if it’s worth anything.

    His performance in today’s game:
    Offence- A+
    Defense – D
    Rebounding – F
    Game IQ – D

His offensive rebounding and just grabbing the rebounds is so bad 😭, I’ve never seen someone grab a rebound and lose it so consistently, defense could def use some improvement

He can certainly perform well in glorified pickup games, which isn’t even slander. You can see the talent – he just needs a freer offensive structure to really develop, along with an environment that can ignore his terrible defense. The issue is that he needs years of experience to develop, and this team is trying to win now, which is why he needs to be traded.

For those who think he didn’t play well and scored 30pts, what does a PRIME Wiseman look like?

  16. GarvinSteve

If I’m Bob I’m on the phone tomorrow. Trade value lifts tonight and maybe you just got a little more for him. Fitz and Kelenna were selling hard.

We gave up 143 ffs… He scored well. He can’t defend anyone. He doesn’t rebound well. He might have a future, but it will take reps and right now he’s not a winning NBA player.

  17. FinalMasquerade

Yo pls jus keep passing this dude the ball.. Let him work out all the other things whilst he gains confidence on offense. Dude is hard to stop if he catches it deep

  18. MillyMan105

The biggest difference between the last game and this game was his increase in aggression playing big and attacking the rim. He looked a lot more comfortable in defence and moving without the ball.

He’s still got improvements to make but think about it he dropped 30 points in 12/14 FG whilst the people that dislike Wiseman claim he still played bad but just imagine what he could look like in his peak.
