  1. JV should really give Sharpe some minutes. You see how he owned big men in Indiana including Myles Turner??? I thought Sharpe finally earn 15 minutes per Game after that but man, he can be huge against Boston, and Milwaukee

  2. For the Nets to beat the Bucks Simmons has to shut down Giannis to the best of his ability as well as being as sharp as they were in this game both with team defense and on offense pushing the pace, finding the open man, and passing the ball frequently coupled with all the off ball actions/moving. This team can win can beat the Bucks, but they have to be 100% on their game. Their defense has to propel them to a win, they have to be able to get a stop when they need to. Simmons must be the all star caliber player on the defensive end for this team to succeed. It would be great if he put up tons of points and always attacks the rim, but he should just continue on the same pace as he is currently on. His defense is what will be of the utmost importance coupled with not making any unnecessary ridiculous fouls on opposing players. Simmons should just focus on what he does best be in the defensive player of the year conversation along side Claxton, push pace, assist the ball, let the game come to him, it will as long as he plays hard. Everyone has to be at their best defensively, continually get stops, and when they play hard the open shots, fast break points, 3 pointers will naturally happen. They have to take care of the ball because the Bucks are kind of lengthy, but moment the ball is pounded inside by Giannis Simmons and another player should bully Giannis as much as humanly possible. The defensive intensity can get to Giannis and the whole Giannis taking it outside and running inside like a bull must not happen so the quick double and the last player to recover defensively when they move the ball around must be prepared for. The Bucks are like the favorites coupled with the Celtics so the Nets have a lot to prove and are playing from the underdog position. The Nets have to quiet all the critics and pundits that obviously are biased towards Brooklyn. Everyone must play their heart out on defensive primarily, but push the ball, find the open man for best shot or just run the break and score early. They have to go hard and really want the win playing as a team together as one for another and if they play symbiotically synchronously as one unit they can beat the Bucks and Celtics. It just helps tremendously if Simmons is the defensive stopper everyone knows he can be. He doesn’t have to score a lot just attack the rim enough the keep Bucks defenders honest just with the threat to be able to drive inside so it can open up the space for shooters cause doubles and force the Bucks defenders to react, respond, and make their mistakes when the ball is moving around and everyone is literally always moving with tons of actions and movements. The Nets must play with purpose and have to play harder than the Bucks. They can’t go easy on them or the Celtics. They just make a statement for their own sake and treat this game as a preview of the playoffs. This game can work marvels for the team if they get the job done and it will thankfully quiet the pundits/haters. Claxton has something to prove too because people think he is too skinny to guard Giannis so he should play inadvertently dirty (as Giannis always does historically against Brooklyn), so go hard, and do everything in his power to make Giannis life horrible. Get help defenders to steal the ball from him or prevent him touching the ball to begin with. Giannis doesn’t have great handles so prevent the pass to him, continually pick at the ball with him, don’t let him get comfortable, if Claxton and other defenders have to push him, scratch him inadvertently, punch him in the chest by mistake going for a board like Giannis does anyways, or swipe at the ball to hit him hard or do what Giannis did to Kyrie go for the board and get directly underneath him and just say it was all the name of getting a board or get underneath him for a rebound because you want it more than him. It’s not intentional to harm him, it’s just because you want the win more than him. Giannis did the same to Kyrie and even Harden when Giannis played in Brooklyn. Giannis always does it when he runs for the board so why should he able to get under players but it can’t happen to him? It’s just a show of heart and who wants it. Get Giannis to make jump shots rather than drive, but don’t let him take any open ones so deliberately bait him to shoot rather than drive and if the ball when it’s picked at and Giannis loses control of it dive for it because you have to want to win more than him. Always especially with Giannis dive at it even if you need a running start, it will mentally mess with him if he keeps losing the ball, is continually annoyed on defense, and if the entire Nets team comes with more intention, purpose, energy, and focus than the Bucks. The Bucks fans say it’s a tough game and bullying is what they like to do so go hard and make it uncomfortable for the Bucks. May have to make more substitutions to keep people fresh, but do what must be done to win whatsoever the cost keeping everyone healthy also. Length on defense can bother the Bucks and the best bet is to have Giannis shoot, but never shoot open shots he should always shoot contested shots. Mentally bully Giannis and get into his head, never show mercy because moment you show mercy to him and the Bucks they like that year when it initially looked like Harden, Irving, and Durant were going to sweep the Bucks beating them decisively in Brooklyn to go easy on them the following game and they eventually took the Nets out of the playoffs and they won the championship where that could have been Brooklyn’s year to win it all. Everyone has a vital role and has to play a pivotal part in the success of the team. They must play together for one another and play smart alongside harder with more intensity on defense and offense than the Bucks. Get into Giannis’s head and permanently make him believe he can’t win and if that means Durant scores above him or he gets dunked upon like Blake Griffin dunking on him, or he is continually given enormous relentless amounts of defensive pressure where he can’t get into the zone or be in the rhythm then do whatever it takes. Giannis is the leader of the Bucks if he is off key mentally and even better emotionally his team won’t win. Giannis is the catalyst to his team. No mercy ever to the Bucks. They and the Celtics are considered the favorites. The Nets have to want it more and have to know that deep down if they play together as one unit going hard on both ends, but moreso defense they can beat the Bucks. The pundits don’t believe in the Nets, but they are blind to the potential of what this roster can be with the utmost focus, energy, playing unselfishly together as one unit and team never I, and if they want to win it all they must play every moment as if they all deep down want it. The Nets have a legitimate chance to win it all this year with Jacque. It would have been a done guaranteed deal with Udoka, but with Jacque the chance is certainly there. Jacque keeps these guys in check, keeps them going hard on defense as one unit, and play hard with pace as well as being smart finding the best available shot coupled with not turning the ball over and continually fighting for rebounds I mean the Nets can certainly win it this year under Vaughn. Claxton you have to prove to all the haters you truly have to be in the defensive player of the year and grab boards, fight for it, rise up for it, and do whatever you need to do to be a defensive stopper getting blocks, but even more importantly grabbing rebounds. Remember as a side note if Claxton gets bullied down low, Sharp is a beast at getting offensive rebounds so I’m just saying Vaughn has options. Preferably Claxton, but Sharp given the circumstance can be worthwhile also. Simmons needs to elevate his game defensively alongside offensively, but more importantly defensively because that’s what’s needed on his team not so much the offensive side like it was in Philly. In Philly he needed to score like 18-28 points, in Brooklyn it would be great, but 10-14 will do unnecessary to score like crazy or just whenever the opportunity comes up to keep the Bucks defenders honest, buts not as important as being the best defensive player on the court at all times and when he grabs the boards push the pace and assist the ball. Claxton and Simmons have to play as they both deserve to be in the defensive player of the year conversation. Believe or not, but this Nets squad still has boatloads of room for tons of improvement if they are serious about winning it all. They can all up their games defensively because there was some lost coverage all throughout this warriors game and points of when they were not focused. The warriors were undermanned too, Nets played great, but again the Bucks and Celtics won’t let that slide. Such unfocus and lapses on defense will be met with pace, shots made by opponents, and can turn the tide of the game. The game must be played intensely for the full 48 minutes so it may be wise on Vaughn’s end to run through his bench a bit more to keep guys fresh, but so far he’s been coaching this team good so it’ll all on him. I love how Vaughn wants to make this team the best they can on defense and on offense I mean keeps it simple yet I mean efficient. This team can be even better on defense as well as offense. It may seem like they reached their plateau, but they are no where near it as tons of improvements can still be made to be a hands down solid championship contender. The pieces are all there and the coach is far better than the last one (no offense to Nash this just isn’t the right team for Nash to coach needs more experience.) Vaughn has much more experience coaching.
