I almost agree with his take but he missed on pointing out that the past 11 top 10 draft picks we have, only one came from the Cupchack era. The rest are from the previous GM who sucks on nailing the draft. Cupchack is known for his conservative approach on trades coz he does have a better management skills and not a risk taker

It’s about time someone tell MJ and Hornets like it is. This team has wallowed in mediocrity far too long. And if MJ isn’t interested in making this team competitive, he should seriously consider selling to someone who will. Yeah Mark Williams is ballin' in the G-League and from what I've seen his performance from the G-League can definitely translate to the big stage. I just hope they don't ignore Mark's performance. Mark is literally doing a whole myriad of things in the G-League: deep jumpshots, rebounding, footwork, defensive presence, etc.
Why would you not be upset. Unlike the Hornets media making excuses for failure. It makes no sense. 0ne thing that bothers me. Coming back with the same squad, when it has been proven that they are not good enough. Why is Mark Williams not getting time this season for next season. Plumlee and Rozier need to go.

Bobby Marks is dumb lol, most NBA teams who draft in the lottery send their rookies to the G-league, so that is a bad argument and Jalen Duren would have probably been in the G-league as well because the Hornets already have two centers that a rookie just will struggle to find minutes in the rotation. But yes the front office is making mistakes and need to start making more moves but the mark Williams comment about a rookie when other teams around the selection of mark Williams other 1st rounder are literally in the G-League.

Plumlee is absolutely our best center. Nick and Mark have the potential to be so much better though, they just need play time. Need to shop Terry and Plum hard, move on, clear cap, and open up minutes for the future of the team. Oubre should be starting 2 guard next to Melo, if we keep terry he need to be 6th man.

Maybe a name change? how about the Charlotte Grifters, as the entire management team painfully had to come to grips with LaMelo Ball being a really great player and decided to denigrate him and emphasize the shortcomings of a 19 year old walking cash cow in order to not spend money on building a roster around him whilst building a strong presence in NASCAR. Talk about rationalizing irrational behavior, look no further than the GM degrading his own players value right after becoming the 4th youngest player in an All STAR game . I'll bet you that went over like a lead balloon with Puma and all of LaMelo Ball's other endorsers and business partners. I Know I have said all this before, yet, I think that based on todays discussion these facts come roaring to the forefront. With the sale of the Phoenix Suns at 4 billion dollars, and the rise of 2 new franchises in Seattle and Las Vegas plus a new Media Rights Contract the NBA is hunting at 75 billion dollars (8 billion or more annually) I see a small ray of light . Alas , I wake up from my dream and realize that with 17 years of unimpressive data on the Hornets and much more money coming down the pike what would be Jordan and managements incentive to change ?

So tired of this team fighting tooth and nail for a play-in spot. Play-in spot: fool's gold, franchise poison. It's a ticket to a first round blowout and a ho hum mid-first round pick and the inescapable loop of irrelevance. Doug is right, this FO thinks they're a pretty pretty princess, and that's always been their problem. They need to take a hard look in the mirror and realize what a lopsided ogre they really are. Play Mark Williams!! What's the point of even playing Mason? Either way they get to the end of the season as losers. If you let Mason eat all those center minutes then we're just left standing there at the end of the season wondering what they even have in Mark. I don't even care if Mason's better than Mark right now. Mark needs the development, and this team needs to develop, not have over the hill vets pulling the sleigh to Nowheresville! Sell Sell Sell these expensive inefficient vets, greybeard bench-starters (ahem, Mason), and Glass Gordon (if anyone will take him), pray for Lamelo's ankles, and cross your fingers and toes for some lottery luck!! But this FO won't do that, I've watched it for too many years. They'll continue to pretend to compete the way Terry pretends to play defense. Even if they did get Wembo or the Scootmaster 9000 I still don't think they'd have the wherewithal to put the right pieces around them to make the team legitimately competitive.

Said it before and I'll say it again. Roster as presently constructed is a bunch of disconnected pieces, not a functional team. Same basic mistakes indicate overall low basketball iq outside of LaMelo. Marks is right. Veteran leadership is needed for the younger guys and the veterans on the roster are just not the right kind and that includes Hayward. Need to sell high on Rozier and Oubre and take what you can get for Plumlee, Hayward and Bouknight. I like Rozier in a complimentary role but he fancies himself as Dwayne Wade and he's not close. He's definitely not a good ball handler or set up man. Playing point guard and putting primary ball handling responsibilities on him diminishes his game. Wish Bouknight showed more and maybe someday he will but it won't be in Charlotte.

As much as we complain about our center play, mark williams is coming along very quick in the g-league. The only reason we haven’t seen him much in the nba is because of his ankle.
Also, keep mason on this roster. His playmaking he developed being teammates with the joker will translate for mark or any other bigs development.
Jordan should just stick to selling shoes and doing commercials he has no business owing an NBA team he's been an absolute failure he has no clue how to build a championship team
I feel like Mitch has done well with the draft during his reign. Bridges, Graham, Martin & Martin, Washington, McDaniels, Ball, and Richards are all key contributors in the league. Bouknight, Jones, Thor, Williams and Mcgowens all need a little time to develop, but I'd bet my house Williams would be starting under Borrego even though I prefer Clifford as coach. Additionally, there's no player drafted after Bouknight killing it in right now either. All free agent signings and salary have been sound too except for Hayward. Hayward's style of play is a good fit for this team… he's just hurt all of time and an expensive. Smh!=)
