MVP is based on narrative and to a similar degree based on team record. Maverick are 16-16… if the Mavericks were a top 4 seed with a better record this would be Lukas MVP to lose.

Mavericks need to start winning! .500 isn’t good enough. We do have a nice stretch of very winnable games coming up so hopefully get it together. Mavs should be favored in their next 6. if they can take care of business and win all 6 … I imagine Luka will climb this list. 22-16 looks a lot nicer than 16-16 and with the parity in the league 22-16 might be good enough for a top 4 seed.
