  1. yea I don't think this video is a good representation of his defense and I really doubt that the teams defense (which has been consistently improving, and they have the pieces to be top 15 and probably top 10) will cost them a top 3 seed in the west. Sorry

  2. Only player ever that had 2000 1000 500 season,he has also highest PER ever measured,he beat Wilt's record and now this season he is gonna beat his own record, over 33…
Only player that had trip dub on perfect shoting from the field,he missed one ft ..but from the game 🎯💯 then he is only player that had 40+ 27reb and 10ass since Wilt…then he is only center ever to put 25,14 and 8.5 ..He also dropped 47 points on Gobert with 70% ts..not to mention another advanced stats…
He literally is shoting over 70pc for 2 ,he is 2x consecutive MVP and he is going to 3peat

  3. One of the worst videos on Jokic I have seen that are not clear hate. "Chicken wing" callout to start a video, then saying "Denver simplified offense for Jokic". First, chicken wing has been used and will be used. Jokic sometimes gets called for it, sometimes does not. As for "Denver simplified offense for Jokic". No, Jokic simplified offense for Denver coaches. It is clear that the guy is basketball savant. He basically plays like no one ever played. Not impressed, do better.

  4. Having a stretch 4 who is a shot blocker is an option for Denver. They need to boost their defense more in the paint.

  5. Give Gordon a bit of credit he's taking on multiple defenders rebounding well powering through to the rim and shooting a decent percentage from three. Jokic sets him up so well but he deserves credit on his own too it's not 100% because of Jokic.

  6. The best part of this video is gonna be this guy losing money betting on the under for Jokic vs. Ayton.

  7. What was that be at the end about Jokić being bad at defense no he is elite/good defender if you don't look at pick and roll he is one of best defenders in the league and it's on coach to use that and to make them switch in defense like what warriors do with Steph

  8. Thank you for exposing jokics defense, and major thank you in telling us the media voters don't value defense this is why the mvp is considered the (THE MEDIA AWARD) when it comes to jokic

  9. They need to start bringing in Marc Gasol to teach Jokic how to protect the rim better using length and positioning. They’re both non athletic grounded bigs but one was a former DPOY and a big asset to the Raptors championship defense. Easier said than done but I feel like Jokic is more than capable at somewhat replicating how Gasol plays defense since he’s already got the IQ for it.

  10. You act like the nuggets aren't the 1 seed right now with that defense.

  11. You have shown bunch of videos here where Jokic's teammates can't keep anybody in front themselves, not even his fault on those made baskets , yet you are saying his teammates are doing good job. Denver have a terrible perimeter defense, they are easy to penetrate, none of the perimeter players there can guard the chair , you are obviously not watching them regularly so you are picking and choosing here , Jokic is far from being the biggest problem for Denver on defense. Gordon is no Millsap or Grant on defense, he's overrated , yet he was supposed to improve Denver's defense, yeah right. Surround Jokic with the good defenders and they can make the good play off run. This is obviously anti Jokic video, scared of another MVP award. You said at the end what is good about running a good fancy offense when you can't stop anybody, yet they are winning games and they at least have the solid defense in the close games. They are ranking pretty high in those situations on defense. Denver is losing the games when Jokic is on the bench most of the time.

  12. “He was despised and rejected— a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care. Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all. He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth. Unjustly condemned, he was led away. No one cared that he died without descendants, that his life was cut short in midstream. But he was struck down for the rebellion of my people. He had done no wrong and had never deceived anyone. But he was buried like a criminal; he was put in a rich man’s grave. But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush him and cause him grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have many descendants. He will enjoy a long life, and the Lord’s good plan will prosper in his hands. When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of his experience, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins. I will give him the honors of a victorious soldier, because he exposed himself to death. He was counted among the rebels. He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53:3-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬
This was written around 700 years before Jesus came into the earth, yet it describes His life perfectly.
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
God loves you so much and showed that by sending His Son to die for us so that we may inherit eternal life. We deserve hell but He gave us heaven through faith in Jesus. He took the punishment we deserved and by putting our faith in Him we can be saved. The Key To Eternal Life:

  13. You say Jokic did the bounce pass because he saw Murray pointing, but the past was already off before Murray motioned.

  14. Love your breakdowns but I have a feeling this one will age pretty poorly… 😉

First things first: you can't really use the whole team's defensive rating when talking about Jokic's defense when most of the bleeding has come when he's not on the floor (as objectively shown by plus minus: he's +226, while the Nuggets is just +57, which means the Nuggets have been outscored by 169 points when he's off court. Most of that is due to much lower offensive rating, but the defense is also worse when he's not out there (Jokic currently has a 109.8 defensive rating, compared to the whole team's 114.7).

Also, you have mentioned but have not given enough credit to this: the defense has improved a lot in the last games, without much if any changes to the rotation. I believe that's more because of new pieces adapting to new schemes and improving on their chemistry, plus an increase in effort (which had been pretty low so far) and better communication from everyone (Jokic included). On paper Denver has the potential to be one of the best defenses in the league, and yes, with Jokic there in the middle.

Of course, Jokic is not a good rim protector or defender in space, but not many centers will do better when isolated against good guards. Also, so far Denver's overall defense at the point of attack has been pretty bad, and there's not much most centers can do when the guards can't navigate thru screens or just let other guards fly by even on straight drives. As the perimeter defense keeps improving, so will the team fare much better overall.

Now, the last point: I already aknowleged Jokic is not a great rim protector of defender in space – but his smart positioning and great hands compensate for a lot, if not most of it when the defense doesn't simply breaks down due to collective effort. That's also something you mentioned in passing but didn't give enough credit to – Jokic leads the league among big men in steals and deflections.

I like to use an analogy with traffic and airplane accidents. People are generally much more afraid of airplane crashes than car crashes, even though airplanes have been historically much safer than cars. Jokic's failures are like airplane crashes – they look pretty bad at face value and catch your attention. However, car crashes cause many more deaths, though they don't get enough attention because, individually, they don't stand out. Yeah, it's pretty clear when Jokic fails to contest a shot or his lack of lateral speed prevents him from closing a driving lane in space – but one thing you don't see is all the plays that Jokic prevents or break down because of his positioning and hands – I'm willing to bet they are many more than those his flaws cause – which is why he still has pretty good advanced defensive stats, even this year (though so far he has regressed some compared to last season).

So, yeah… Let's see how well this take holds up by the end of the season. 🙂

  15. He's lost a step since last year when he got skinny. I'm hoping he can get skinny again because last year he was like a top 20 center on defense.

  16. The way my amateur eyes see it is, Jokic has a specific set of instructions, which is: Focus on offense. Don't make unnecessary fouls, or waste energy on jumping to contest shots. Conserve energy for an all-out offense. Your teammates know you'll dish out the passes, they know you got your bag of offensive tricks, just go all out on offense and have the team outscore the opponent team.

We've seen him jump and make some nice blocks when it comes to game deciding shots from the opponent teams, meaning he can jump and contest alright, it's just that he doesn't do it during the game when the risk of making a foul compared to opponents scoring two points is not justified.

  17. After all that start from the other players, we are getting Jokic, Embiid, Giannis race to the MVP all over again.

  18. This was MUCH better than the average high light package fluff piece videos on Jokic out there. Especially the defensive deficiencies you point out. Not a hater; I just appreciate the balance

  19. Uncharacteristically dubious conception of the video, coach, topped off with a couple of statements on staying on the floor and the media members unworthy of both your expertise and integrity respectively. A transparent incoherence, unaptly disguised leaves me thinking this video might have even been commissioned 😳

  20. If Jokic is such a bad player then why is it that when he's on the flor nuggets are the 2017 warriors and when he's not they're 2005 bobcats?

  21. Joker15 is simply showing us all that he's doing all he can for his team w/o any goddamn distractions or drama or showboating like I try her NBA players are doing all the time. Disciplined and persevering. He's letting his bball do all his talking on da floor. I hope they get to the finals and become 2023 champs. Oh yeah MVP 2023 as well well for Joker15.

  22. Joker and the Nuggets have shown they can play some lock down defense, it's just will they on a regular basis as they role into the play offs. They're certainly capable of it and last night was a prime example late in the 4th.

  23. The Jokic on/off the court numbers are pretty insane so I’m pretty sure the coaching staff has instructed him to contest but don’t foul. Still, he needs to make effort to get in the right position so it’s not easy points every time.

  24. TBH I feel like coach nick is being obtuse. Jokic has been to the WCF already, and he beat the Trail Blazers without his second best player the year after that. He's only come up short when playing against the GOAT and AD (2020) and when he's been without either his 2nd or 3rd, or even both, best players. Now he has Murray and MPJ back, and they're guaranteed to be 17-24 ppg type players in the playoffs. They haven't been 100%, but they should round into form, and Aaron Gordon's taken a late career leap the makes him a viable third option scorer, in addition to what he brings as a defender.Every western conference team has big issues, Jokic has a solid squad and they can definitely get it done.

  25. I think the best way to counter some of Jokic passes is ofne of the basic thought in defense. Keep up your arms moving and deflecting.

  26. part of the defensive issues come from them trying to take it easy on jokic early on in the season, and jokic taking it easy on himself at the instruction of the coaching staff, because they've had issues with him tiring out in the playoffs recently cause he plays so many minutes and games in the regular season especially when murray and porter have been out he's carried the team. they will be at the top of the west come seasons end. last time they were healthy as a team they made it to the west finals beating that vaunted clippers team so i dont understand the skepticism and hint of bias here.
