Damon Stoudamire on Making NBA Head Coaching DEBUT For Celtics



BOSTON, MA — Boston Celtics Assistant Coach Damon Stoudamire was interviewed following the Celtics 126-102 win over the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night. The win was Boston’s third straight, and the team will take their win streak into a matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday. After a last minute announcement, Joe Mazzulla was ruled out for the game with eye irritation.

Damon Stoudamire spoke on filling in for Mazulla as head coach for the night.

    I think Joe's done a great job, but I will admit that I was initially surprised that he got the interim nod over Damon.
