When the game got close in first half of the 4th, all I could think about was how Kuminga needed to be in the game. He just seemed to pose such a problem for the Hornets on both ends of the court. He’s done that in other games before, and a lot more recently with his defense. Eric Apricot mentioned in a recent video something about how improved JK’s defense has been when he’s on-ball. But what’s different this game is that he was game-altering in crunch time. Super fun to watch the growth.

Kuminga is one the main reasons I believe the Hornets should never have signed Hayward, and just continued the rebuild one more year. We would’ve been in the Kuminga/Wagner range of that 2021 draft instead of Bouknight….. with a reasonable shot at jumping up for Mobley or someone.
I swear to God this sub is taking turns between bashing and praising him every other game. That being said, he was insanely clutch this game.
