Hard capping yourselves for someone who might not play seems bad

From Highkin: “asked Chauncey Billups yesterday at practice and he didn’t rule out the possibility he plays Friday but said nothing has changed about his status/recovery from where it’s been the whole time. Everyone is just guessing at this point and has been for a while.”

Don’t worry, we’ve got unverified sources on Twitter saying hes playing against gsw, Chauncey doesn’t know shit. /s

  4. If Cronin knew GP2 needed the surgery when he signed him, yet still fully guaranteed all 3 years of his contract, and hardcapped us for it, that’s some absolute GM fuckery. Especially given this was his big off-season move.

The Festus injury was way worse. He literally replaced his knee ligament with a donated cadaver or something. GP2 had the same surgery both Dame and Nassir had. So there’s no reason to think he won’t at all play for the Blazers. He is in line with the recovery timeline of Dame and Nassir. It took them longer than where GP2 is at today to play.

Edit: Actually I’m wrong, he is right about at the point Nassir was when he was cleared to play. So still on track.

We need to just settle down and stop paying so much attention. Payton will likely help us, but it’s not like we are getting another Dame back. Putting so much pressure on the return of a role player is weird. Are we going to do this for Nas too?
