The culture and mentality of our organization shows up in these interviews. Kuminga too, you can hear it in his choice of words that the team has drilled into these young guys that working hard on the little things is what’s going to make a difference. Poole and Moody same. It goes along with the quick leash Kerr has for them as well. Everything is earned, nothing is more important than making the right read, whether it’s a defensive rotation or a pass, and everyone has fully bought in. I understand the Wiseman hate based on how he’s looked earlier in the season but when you factor in the mentality on display in this interview, I think we are watching the next guy stepping into his role. The guys that are flashy and immediately have an impact are at risk of becoming overconfident and reliant on their talent, I’d rather have a guy like Looney that improves every year and plays to his strengths and within the system.

A Warriors team with Kuminga, Poole, Wiseman, Moody, Dante, and dare I say Ty all understanding their role and executing accordingly is a scary thought.
