QUOTES/NOTES/TOPICS:

• Steve Kerr postgame on JordanPoole: “He still has a level or two to go…reaching his ceiling…playing with poise, whether it’s the referees or turnovers.” (me)

• On DiVincenzo: “Donte was brilliant…take some of the pressure off the other guys (when guarding Ja)…scrappy…game-changer…found himself here in our system.” (me)

• On the Grizzlies: “It’s good for our guys to feel that threat…that confidence…Marc Gasol and Mike Conley and Zach (Randolph)…they way they’ve drafted and coached…they’ve got something special…both sides chirp back and forth.”

• On Klay Thompson’s taunt: “What has endeared him to his teammates is he just wants to win. He’s such a competitor and doesn’t often show emotions but the guy has always known, regardless of what’s happening, Klay wants to win.” (me, Madeline Kenney)

• On James Wiseman’s minutes vs Memphis: “He was great defensively. Great. Just patrolling the paint, staying in between the ball and the basket but still being able to cover the roll man, playing the cat and mouse game. He had several plays where he just went vertical, he’s in the right spot…that’s a big obstacle in your way if you’re a guard coming down. You’ve gotta score over the top of James. His ability to do that without fouling is crucial to his place in our rotation, on our team. That’s the beauty of his three weeks in Santa Cruz. They worked on that every single day. As I told you recently, you go to Santa Cruz, you get three or four great practices in a week. You play here and we got a game the next night. We got film and a walkthrough and you move on to the next one. He needs the reps…7 or 8 games. He’s made big strides.”(Anthony Slater, me)

• Taylor Jenkins postgame recap; “They had better energy than we did. It’s as simple as that.”

• On JJJ and Brooks’ foul trouble: “their physicality/pace/ball movement was phenomenal.”

• On the many missed threes: “Trust the looks that we’re getting.”

• On the chirping vs focus: “That’s part of our focus and our edge, our swag and competitiveness.”

• On the difficult road trip: “We’re 1-3 and three of them we didn’t have the competitiveness.”

NOTE: From Golden State Warriors postgame after win vs Memphis Grizzlies for Christmas Game, held at Chase Center in San Francisco, CA. We will go live for the CHA-GSW game on Tue 12/27 at 6:30PM PST, which tips off at 7:00PM.

  2. The officiating was embarrassingly bad. How do you not know what 'in transition' is and how do you let klay shoot wise's fts… Goofy

  3. I finally found out why JP got his 2nd technical foul. Dylan Brooks threw JP down just before the "T" and no foul was called.

  4. Gee wiz u beat the big mouths that without Steph n wiggs that's another statement ur there I think u guy's would be unbeatable with a big or two along with wise howard n cousin with all ur shooter's good lord u'll be big n rebounding u would control wise 3 rebounds in a row can u imagine wise looney n Howard n cousins on second team whew namaste

  5. Maybe I might not even beat twolves now ur edge u haven't edged anything being cocky leads to not being able to beat any west team's with number one big mouth non winning anything yet ur not proving anything only that ur big mouths stupid namaste

  6. Amazing how well the Warriors play at home, the energy ⛮ and emotions, the Grizzlies with Ja flying ✈ all over the place Brings out the best of them.

  7. I looked all over Youtube and the web for Grizzlies players postgame interviews. NONE..!!! Talk a big game before, but when you have been humbled, you hurry up to get dressed and avoid the questions..?!!! LOL COWARDS..!!!!

  8. Jordan Poole was nagging brooks all game hitting his arm and shit when the ref wasn’t watching yet they act like brooks is the bully. Go back and watch it! GSW shot good while the grizz had a terrible shooting game. We will see each other again soon.

  9. That referee "Muscle Man" was calling some unnecessary technicals last night. It would seemed he brought his home issues on the court and took it out on the Warriors

  10. More than players, coach, game the role of referees has become more pronounced in deciding the outcome of games

  11. can we noooot do something to THOSE Earrring Bastard. Reffffereees ,,,as FFF they own the NBA !!ha? HA???

  12. Grizzlies coach is prideful he didnt want to see the downside of the team and also don't want to accept defeat.

  13. Taylor Jenkins is an interesting coach. I've only been around coaches who asks that players maintain a level focus on winning and not wasting energy on taunting and unnecessarily riling the opponent. But he doesn’t even seem to care. It’s so strange. This is a mistake that not even freshman coaches would make. 🤔🤔🤔

  14. Dillon Brooks idea of a Memphis Grizzlies 'DYNASTY':
1 play-in game, 1 Sportsmanship Award, 97 Tweets, ZERO Conference Finals, ZERO Championships..!!! LOL

  15. Worst officiating I’ve ever seen. This crew is terrible . I’ve seen them mess up a game with terrible calls before with The Nets
