I had the absolute fucking privelege of being at tonights game. First game this season, and I honestly don’t remember the crowd being this awesome since I went to a late season game against the Warriors in 2015. Though that one had some pretty serious playoff considerations, which kinda makes this one tht much more awesome.
But man, there was a moment in the 4th – pics in the link for those who haven’t already clicked for whatever reason – where they put CJ up on the big screen after he hit 42.
Crowd went fucking nuts just seeing him. And he was just chilling at the scorer’s table for a second befor the eruption of noise caused him to look up and smile. We all popped off again when he realized.
And as it was dying down a bit, I know that dude was like “Nah, this is my fucking moment. I’ma drink this in.” Threw his hands up, asked for some more, and we obliged. An absolute cacophony.
I’ve been a fan since Baron Davis and Jamal Mashburn rolled into town in year 1. Been to at least one game every year since the CP3 era, though normally it’s about 3-5. I’ve been convinced guys like Jason Smith should be starting and Chris Kaman is an absolute stud. I went all in on Aleis Ajinca and Luke Babbit. And no disrespect to any of those guys, they’re great players in terms of basketball in general…but in the NBA…yeesh.
Tonight was fucking awesome. We got the sqaud. We got the coach. And we got the support.
