[Krawczynski] Despite the team’s struggles, there are no indications internally that Finch’s job is in jeopardy. Connelly prides himself on avoiding the kind of internal dysfunction that has plagued this franchise forever. Stability and continuity are core beliefs for him.

> New President of Basketball Operations Tim Connelly built a contender in Denver on the strength of organizational harmony. He has already said this season that the responsibility is on him, not the players or coaches, to build a roster that fits together and can be successful. Despite the team’s struggles, there are no indications internally that Finch’s job is in jeopardy. Connelly prides himself on avoiding the kind of internal dysfunction that has plagued this franchise forever. Stability and continuity are core beliefs for him and he told The Athletic a few weeks ago that Finch is “one of the best coaches I’ve been around.”

  1. I mean, this much was obvious I think. It’s not like Finch traded for Gobert and wrecked a decent roster.

Connelly fits right into the losing fabric of Minnesota. I liked Finch last year but he couldn’t hold onto double digit leads in the regular season or playoffs, and the same has held true this year.

Someone better carry Madame Zeroni up that mountain asap

Bro took the job and wasted no time to make a franchise crippling trade

I feel so bad for them. They were pretty fun last season.

I could not care less about the Timberwolves but fuck this guy for making that trade. I feel bad for timberwolves fans. They had a lot to look forward to and this guy just blew it all up like some kinda basketball terrorist

One scroll to the left and the post is how their starting point guard has unfollowed the team on all his socials. What a year for the wolves.

Not sure Connelly will be in a position of power much longer. People don’t usually keep their jobs after pulling off one of the worst trades in NBA history, see: Bobby Marks

“Stability and continuity are core beliefs for him.”

Also Tim Connelly: Let’s just fucking trade all the glue and effort guys plus a slew of picks for a 30 year old big man and everything will work out just fine!

I thought Jarred Vanderbilt was actually a decent player. When they did the trade I was surprised he was added into the trade.. it’s a horrible trade. And I don’t even like the Timberwolves. Never liked DAngelo Russell either, but Anthony Edwards coming along great.

Short if Tim openly admitting it, you can not convince me that Tim Connelly made that trade. It’s too far outside of his character and philosophy on roster design.

New ownership (A Rod) wanted to make a splashy move to significantly their arrival. A Rod was all over social media trying to rub the Connelly pick up in the Nuggets face and making sure everyone knew he was in town. Morons make moron moves. A Rod is a moron. TC is not.

If they cannot fire the coach or make another big trade they gotta get rid of D’Angelo. He is not the problem yes but he is a hugeass part of the problem and amidst all the chaos between two bigs and incompetence of the coach he kinda got lost in the shuffle. And I don’t care how hyperbolic this sounds, he has to be the 28th or 29th best starting pg in the league. I’d put a lot of backup pgs (Tyus Jones maybe) ahead of him as well. He should not be leading an NBA offense, maybe a cog within it but he cannot be absolutely a full-time ballhandler.

This is why continuity matters well sometimes, the wolves were a young fun team. The idea was to allow these guys to grow their games by making minor moves that don’t harm the good of team . The GM swung and missed bad with this move. The fit was in question from day 1, then moving a lot of impactful bench guys hurts. It’s legit the Westbrook trade but center addition.
