Joe needs to start making some adjustments.. Celtics were unstoppable in the paint, getting a bucket or FT every drive and we still kept shooting 3s.. not to mention double big lineup was barely used
Joe should be fucking ashamed with not playing Rob at the end of that game. That and the lack of playing Al and Rob together is just ridiculous.
I’m not even that upset about the loss but that specifically was so frustrating to watch. Rob rested for 40 minutes why can’t he come in when we needed him most?
I canāt believe I watched the entire game
Mazzulla seriously needs to figure this shit out. If the threes arenāt going down, fucking do something else. If Brogdon and Smart donāt have it, take them out and put Pritchard in. If itās crucial minutes, donāt fucking have Grant be a liability on both sides of the floor when Rob can challenge Jokic.
Though one.
Their shotmaking was absurd, and Smart/Horford/Brogdon went 6/28 FG, 2/13 3pt
Bounce back in OKC
Joe needs to fix his lineups and minutes
Use the double big lineup that worked so well last year. Also donāt even care about that game after the delay
Another incredible performance by Mazz, who constantly doesnāt know who our best players or lineups are. Not playing Rob the last 7 minutes despite a 40 minute rest in between is insane
They hit a lot of junk but our role players have been no bueno in the last month. Jays bring it plus Rob/Smart nightly but the rest are cold.
I hate the fact that we seemingly have no gameplan for when the threes stop falling
We need to go back to the double big lineup. Rob needs more then 18 minutes heās a top 2 defender on the roster
Joe and Brogdon wrecking our bench success
We looking like a 2nd round exit the past month
We are not a three point shooting team.
Happy new year. Don’t forget to vote.
Luke Kornet SAVED my Prediction with that last layup!
That’s the positive I’ve decided to take from this game.
I havenāt heard āwe hang our hats on the defensive endā in months. Three point shooting will never be a sustainable competitive advantage for this roster.
We were so wrong in so many things even a timelord couldn’t fix it by bending the time.
Chill, nuggets basket was ocean tonight
Not a good one but can we all agree that the bent rim delay was so ridiculous it was hilarious
White was 5 from 9 smart and brogdon were 3/18…
Bring back Damon?
Shout out joe for having the offense WAYYYYY over perform, but I wanna see damon takeover for a little bit and see what we can do. He seemed to have a better handle on rotations and game management. We looked real tight when he was up.
I hope the rest of 2023 turns out better than waiting 40 minutes to replace a rim just to watch 6 minutes of zero effort basketball. Only upside was hearing Nuggets fans chanting “let’s go Nuggets” at the end like they were the opposing crowd in their own arena
I’m usually a pretty staunch defender of Joe but this was definitely a game partly lost on him. Offensively we were able to produce good looks and even if they’re not going down that’s just part and parcel sometimes. But defensively some of these rotations were concerning, I felt like he kept going to a 5-out lineup and sacrificing defense even though our shooting was cold tonight. Would’ve liked to see an adjustment to put out more double big lineups or other defensive-oriented lineups. I also feel like (and maybe this is just a chemistry thing and not a coaching thing) we’re not hitting Rob for open lobs as much as we used to. Lots of open opportunities for him that players like Brogdon just straight up didn’t see.
Does anyone actually like Mazulla as a coach? This team really looks like it runs itself
The combo of Smart/Brown/Tatum/Horford/Rob, the lineup that led the NBA in net rating among 5-man units last season by a hilariously massive marginā¦has played a grand total of 8 minutes together this season.
This is the 5th game theyāve all been available this season, and in that time theyāve only played 8 minutes.
This lineup was playing 13 minutes PER GAME last year. Joe just refuses to play this lineup and itās baffling.
Live by the 3, die by the 3.
I’m still perplexed, however, how the entire fucking team lost the ability to make them. If the Jays aren’t making them, or Marcus, then you could count on Brogdan, White, Grant, Hauser and Al to make them. Since December, you can’t count on that any longer.
Derrick white shouldve played 30 mins he was incredibly good tonight in the mins he played
Joes entire philosophy seems to be all about five out offense and hitting more threes than the other team and he hasnāt wavered from that at all since the beginning of the season. I seriously have my doubts whether heāll go back to the double big lineup
These are games I wonder if we needed a more experienced head coach
Miserable from start to finish, one of those games where they piss it away in the first quarter and that was game.
Brogdon looks too stiff in our offense and heās kinda stopping the ball when he gets it, not hitting makes it worse obviously, idk whatās up
Brogdon needs to be better. Even if heās not hitting his shots we need him to run the floor effectively and create for others. Seemed like he was a complete non factor
This felt like an L pretty early on. Al, Marcus and Brogdon just couldnāt throw it in the ocean. Refs were equally bad for both teams.
Not too fussed as Denver is solid, just hope we can TCB against OKC.
We wasted an excellent game from JB. Sad. Onto the next one.
Have to go back to the double big lineup that dominated the defensive end last year. This defense just isnāt good enough
Get rob involved
Maann we needed rebounds after that ring gate. Rob should have been there.
Smart is gonna get alot of criticism for this game and rightfully so but what the hell is wrong with Brogdon? He was supposed to be the “settle things down” veteran PG and the last few games he’s played he’s been ROUGH. Sloppy turnovers, airballing 3’s, getting cooked on defense.
Everyone has bad stretches but the entire bench has falling off a hard cliff
