As a Dallas fan, I cannot stress to you enough how little help Luka has. Kidd wouldn't even play him and Wood together until Maxi Kleber got hurt. Everything possible that could go against him is going against him this season and it's the best of his career. Amazing

Not true. He is a great passer, great vision, possibly the 2nd best passer in the NBA but he doesn't have Jokic' vision. While he can make back passes occassionally, he also misses back passes moderate times. He is more capable of passing forward, to the side on drive and dish, and cross court on on skip passes. He can deliver the pass if he can see it but he can't see everybody wherever they are.

7:02 OKC #17 (Aleksej Pokuševski) has this dejected look of "how did that just happen? I don't understand!" and frankly, it's a look I have seen on a lot of guys trying to guard Luka when he does something wild and unexpected, which you know, is very frequently. And yeah, his passing is unreal. He no-looks constantly, or makes it look like he's shooting, only to see the ball go in a totally different direction. There are so many times I have to replay 2-3 times to understand what the hell he even did. One time, I saw him pass to a teammate by bouncing it between an opponent's legs. Bet that guy felt like an idiot. And he makes it look so easy. I think one of the main things that is really embedded in his entire game (and you touched on this) is that he doesn't play at the same pace as other players. In fact, he's frequently slow and methodical, with short bursts of speed. He just plays at his own pace. Other players of his caliber typically have a lot more athleticism, so I think a lot of people just don't intrinsically know how to guard him. It's not just his ridiculous unpredictability and IQ, it's that he kind of breaks their whole rhythm by forcing them to slow down and play at his odd pace.
