Tyler Herro in his last 15 games: 24.3/5.7/5.1 with 1.5 steals on 46.7/42.6/94 (61.9%TS)

Taking 9.9 3s per game over this stretch. Trading most of his long twos in for threes has done wonders for his efficiency all year, but dude was on fire particularly over this stretch. Already has about 3 game winners this year, too. He continues to improve every year. Playmaking definitely improved, both number wise and with the eye test. He’s making way better reads this year as the game has evidently slowed down a bit for him.

I think Tyler could sneak onto a few All Star teams as an injury replacement.

Not this year, but in the next few he’ll have opportunities.

It’s the playmaking that’s way more impressive to me. He’s had stretches of averaging 25 even last season, but 5+ assists constantly in an offense that’s not ball dominant for one player is impressive to me.

I think Miami’s only shot at contention moving forward is Tyler making an All NBA leap. Coz without that they just don’t have enough scoring in the playoffs to consistently beat a Milwaukee or a Boston anymore, especially since those two teams have improved so much in the last 3 years.

  3. And so it begins, the annual Tyler Herro All Star campaign. Fyi, I’m not complaining. I want more!
