Life advice from Draymonc

In Tim Kawakami’s [article](https://theathletic.com/4053615/2023/01/03/klay-thompson-warriors-54-points/) about Klay’s big game, he quotes Draymond as saying

> I think it’s an understanding that you don’t have to be the same Klay that you once were before. And when you understand that and you buy into that, then you become Klay that you were before.

That applies to so many areas of life, particularly for those of us who are past our primes.

Years of hard work turned Klay into a champion. One day all that hard work was interrupted by an injury. And sadly while recovering, another injury.

You’d be hard-pressed to find another player in professional sports that was injured and came back, let alone came back with the same intensity. And yet here we are at the halfway point of the season with a man who has made that happen. He didn’t give up, he’ll still have bad streaks where he’s unhappy with his play, but he has the intensity to keep working at it.

We all had doubts at the beginning of this season, but I always felt the Warriors would come together. It’s nice to see Klay getting to the point he must be happy with his game.
