The Dallas Mavericks have the best record against the Western Conference (16-6) out of all Western Conference teams

The Mavs have the best winning intraconference winning percentage among West teams (.727), with the second best being Denver’s .667 (18-9). Despite that, the Mavs are just 22-16 and 4th place in the West because of a mediocre 6-10 record against Eastern Conference teams.

The Mavs’ 16-6 intraconference records includes a 9-3 record against teams currently in the playoffs or play-in.

They just need to stop losing to scrubs because their record against above .500 teams is actually solid

In their defense they’ve been much better against below .500 teams recently (on the back of Luka of course but hey, those were games the Mavs were losing earlier so step in the right direction)

Yet sit in 4th place in the west and 9th in the NBA. It’s all irrelevant right now.

The Mavs have played 14 home games and 8 away games against the West.

The Knicks curse was transferred to an entire conference.

How do the grizzlies not have the best record against the western conference? I was told they don’t have to worry about anyone in it

Some of those losses are brutal too, rockets, thunder, Timberwolves

If you didn’t know already, they’re a very solid team healthy. Deep, a bit more flexible than last year’s squad that can throw a bunch of different lineups to give teams trouble, and well-constructed around Luka to be a menace in the playoffs.

Unfortunately when all your 3&D wings and best defensive big get hurt around the same time, it looks much more grim. I doubt they get Maxi back for the playoffs, but curious to see how it looks with Wood more integrated and Green/DoDo holding the two core 3&D wing spots next to Luka.

They’ve already played the Rockets 4 times

Well lets look at who they have played in the West for context:

    Rockets – 4

    Thunder – 3

    Nuggets – 3

    Jazz – 2

    Suns – 2

    Timberwolves – 2

    Trailblazers – 2

    Spurs – 1

    Lakers – 1

    Warriors – 1

    Clippers – 1

    Pelicans – 1

    Grizzlies – 1

    Kings – 0

A lot of missing games from the more difficult teams in the west. The only team they have played a lot that should be difficult is the Nuggets.
