I mean what else is Kerr supposed to say but to defend Poole. Problem is this isn’t an isolated occurrence. It’s happened time and time again, with the pinnacle being against the jazz.

  2. unpluggedcord

It’s a lot more than just the turnover.

  3. PlaguedDreams

You know steve cant wait to have his ass on the bench

Poole is best when he’s in the flow of the game and that’s why he hit shots but ISO Poole just isn’t it because he’s out of rhythm and tries to do too much by himself. I understand the reps and I know he’ll get better but it’s just frustrating as hell right now.

  5. Pootahtoo_Man

This isn’t the first time, that’s the problem

Coaches gotta help him out by running him off ball in crunch time situations. Dray, DDV, even Ty can handle up top…

Remember back when he was critical of Poole with the press, especially about his defense? Poole would have an amazing game on offense but Kerr wouldn’t be satisfied. Now it seems since he got paid, he can’t be called out or held accountable.

This loss is a learning experience for Poole. He got to learn how to dribble safely. He also needs to be more patient and trust his teammates.

He’s at his best when he’s going with the flow and not rushing things.

Short term pain for long term gains. We understand that but bro we are in play-in spot with half the season over. Get some wins now. Please.

Praise in public, criticize in private.

Kerr knows this basic rule. He’s not going to call it out in public.

  11. Nessmuk58

    A “learning experience,” right.

What he needs to learn is: “DON’T DO THAT SHIT!”

  12. Jvlockhart

JP needs to work on his concentration specially on games like this.
He’s leading the NBA on TO and it’s not the first time he turned the ball over on such crucial moment.
The loss tonight kinda stings more cause of that game winning 3.

But thats not how you run the last possesions of the ball, dude is doing to much during clutch situations, and funny thing is once he did that iso, already know dude gonna slip and i was right once again.

Oh.. Steve Kerr is too smart to not know the obvious.

  15. SprewellNo1Choker

Late game experience is good, but he’s making the same mistake over and over. Can’t just let him keep testing out his carry crossover to see if it’ll work eventually. Come up with a new play to close it out, there’s 4 other guys there.

Steve Kerr reacting sensibly to the end of the game vs this sub … lol

  17. Wonderful-Media-2000

If he truly is a good coach he says this in public and flames Poole at practice. No reason to dog a player to the press but practice and the locker room they need to be held accountable.

  18. SumOfAllTears

We don’t need a Ben Simmons on our team, Kerr handled that perfectly, the rest of the team too, they can discuss his shortcomings in private although he clearly knows he fked up.

all i know is yall dont know fk all about this team.. toxic ass band wagoners, there is no 5 game streak without everyone including poole balling out. He fked up he will continue to fk up. Hes young and yall need to get it through your heads thats were fkin plying way above what expectations were and we dont win without poole, dray or klay. And everyone here has said some straigh up bs about all of these players. When dray came back, when klay came back, with poole having sloppy plays and a slump. When yall said ker was not learning cause the team was doing bad.. Smh we’re only getting better, and poole needs to learn the hard way and this is the hard way. He got bailed out multiple times. Im glad he lost the ball and he will only be hard on himself for that. get over it fkin babies.
