    we already fucked FVV

Siakam has the conditioning of a god

But for OG this seems pretty reckless considering his susceptibility to get random injuries.

And the reason is, like it has been all this season and all last season, the bench is fucking terrible. Boucher’s production has dropped off a cliff lately. Thad is almost unplayable due to his lack of shooting. Khem and Flynn are totally useless. The Precious injury was a big factor.

We all know why the minutes are what they are. As long as the expectation is to keep competing (vs a tank), it will continue to be like this.

If you are playing your starters like it’s the playoffs and have a terrible record this says 2 things.

    1) The starters are not good enough to lead the team to the playoffs even when playing huge minutes, and the team is probably even worse than you think.

    2) That the front office has done a terrible job building depth, and not just for one season, but for three seasons in a row now. Basically not a single cheap signing has worked out for this team. That’s on Masai and Bobby.

Malachi was playing well so I was hoping that would help get FVV’s minutes down. But his last 4 games he’s fallen off a cliff:

His first 6 games since he became a regular in the rotation: 10/2/2 on 42/45/50 splits (55% TS)

    Last 4 games: 2/4/2 on 11/8/50 splits (15.1% TS)

His defence has also been terrible these last 4 games. Yikes.

kinda off topic, but has the game become harder on players bodies over time (due to pace or some other factors)? looking at past seasons, this would be the 3rd lowest season leader in mpg ever, and it has been trending down ever since the mid 2000s (AI with 43 mpg in 05/06). it was generally above 40 mpg before 2000 as well. i’m not really worried about pascal tbh, dude has nearly unlimited energy, fred and og are more injury prone though so they are a bit of a concern.
