I have a feeling Masai gon overvalue our guys way too much expecting a huge return and nothing gon happen.

Masai will set the bar extremely high and then drop them to slightly above fleece levels near the trade deadline when teams get desperate

That’s the oldest negotiating tactic there is. Establish an asking price that’s way above reasonable, then work down from there.

I mean there’s a month left until deadline
You always start high then closer to deadline become more realistic
Still 18 games until deadline too

That’s basic negotiation tactics. FVV will not be a fleece as he is a half yr or 1 year rental until he will need to be paid. His mantra is well known and teams will not give up a lot for a player with a high chance of running to the highest bidder and who is openly complaining about taking on a lesser role.

Understandable in regards to siakam and og’s trade value. Not sure if you wanna be too picky with gtj and fvv trades tho with their free agency coming up

What is with the obsession with “Fleecing”. No GMs goal is to fleece anybody. Fleecing is bad for business. Fleecing implies ripping somebody off, getting the better of them. These guys are professional businessman….95% of the deals are mutually beneficial to both parties. Rarely do you see a trade where one comes off as incompetent or got ‘fleeced’.

Pulling a Timberwolves and absolutely fucking the prices of the trade market before it really starts is the ultimate sigma move. Come on Portland/Pelicans/Warriors/etc., you can do it! 😤
