Tatum dropped a triple double, the bench stepped up (thanks to a challenge from Joe Mazzulla), and while the coach enjoyed the win, he wants to see more. They start off making buckets, I looked heavily into my own bias that I’ve been saying generally in conversation, Celtics make buckets at the beginning, they set the momentum for the entire team….Marcus buries first three….based on how they buried that 3 as a team ….I knew they were gonna win….it seemed very clear to me….my point, I can almost tell they are gonna win or not based on the first minute of play.
This is the Tatum that can win us a championship 🏆
We look good when Tatum is racking up assists, it opens up everyone's game instead of relying on Smart White and Brogdon to make plays. We looked our best when Tatum played like this in the finals/playoffs.
Tatum is too good to only be averaging 4 assists per game. He is the one who has the gravitational pull of our opponents 🌙. And like I said a few games ago, I'd much rather Tatum get 30 points with 7-8 assists than have him hunt 40+ points nightly. We just scores 124 points with only Tatum scoring over 20 points…
It's the difference between being an MVP and being a Champion sometimes. Stay focused on the big prize Tatum. The world 🌎 is yours☘
My opinion of Mazzulla hasn’t change . He is not fit for taking the Celtics to a championship. He must go.
Not going to get too excited until I see some consistency, but this is a great start. The defense was on point and I’m not sure who else noticed, but Smart & Rob were really yelling/communicating on D all night. The J’s closed it out nicely but the bench, particularly Grant & Malcolm, were fantastic in the first half. I believe we outscored the Mavs bench like 26-2. Now let’s annihilate SA like we should and keep it going. Thanks John. ☘️🔒
Now this is the Celtics team we know! The Jays and the bench definitely responded with a quality win. Malcolm Brogdon stepped his game up as well.
Everybody in this team is great except Jayson, even though his stats is pretty. His way of playing is too damn pussy. Why cannot he step up when the team needs him. It's always Jaylen that plays like the number one star of the team. I've been so disappointed at Jayson so far this season. Smh

Seeing Malcom play well again was great for the bench we almost got to 40. Sam still looks lost and shook but least the 6th man of the year seems back to his usual 14 to 20 ppg self. I just hope he can keep it going for awhile now.
To all my Boston Celtic fans a real question…. Doncic is an amazing amazing offensive player and passer. But has no interest on defense and is not even a AVERAGE defender…. how is someone who plays almost NO D always spoken about as a MVP? It boggles my mind
