    No way lmao

The Rudy trade destroyed the market

  2. onepieceoverload

I don’t hate this, Ik everyone big on shaedon…the only thing Is idk how the fit will be, and I don’t think it really puts us into contention. But definitely a step into the right direction I think.

  3. spencp99

Unfortunately that’s fair value accounting for the state of the market right now. Thanks Timberwolves

I’m not too keen on losing Shaedon and control of all those picks. That 2027 pick needs to be lottery protected at least. Would prefer some swap protections also (something like top 4 or 7) for the 2026 choice.

I would prefer to keep Shaedon and send out control of literally every pick available if that’s an alternative. Sending out Nassir instead imo.

ETA: giving up that much for Siakam *without an extension* is not worth it.

If you remove the draft picks, I am a yes. I love Ant and Sharpe, but Sharpe is still too many years out from being an impact player on both ends. Ant is too much of a liability on defense, just like CJ was. Siakam doesn’t have the offensive firepower Ant does, but the ability to play both ends of the court makes up for this.

Dame, Hart, Siakam, Grant, Nurkic – I can get behind this starting lineup.

I mean this with upmost respect to you and the raptors fanbase, y’all are smoking dick.

Tbh in a tank I don’t feel the need for Simons at all what would you guys think of the trade without him and with little instead

  8. Numerous-Statement59

Don’t worry we don’t wanna send spicy P anywhere hes an Allstar

  9. Fuck no lmaooo, our two best young players and 4 picks???

While I don’t doubt that these are the types of trades Masai Ujiri is throwing at other GMs, I don’t think there will be many takers in the NBA for this type of move—especially after the Gobert trade.

Also I’m much more convinced that Ujiri will be trying to stick some other GM with FVV, GTJ and the other pupu platter of players and upgrade around the big 3 vs. trade one of them.

    I’m doing the trade.

Pascal is a top 15 player in the NBA currently averaging 26/8/6.

    Starters: Dame/Hart/Grant/Siakam/Nurk

    Bench: Keon/GPii/Nas/Walker/Eubanks

Adding Siakam instantly makes us better than the Mavs, Suns, Kings, Clippers and makes us WCF contenders. I know a lot of you are emotionally attached to Ant & Sharpe, but get over it. We ain’t goin no where with the roster as presently constructed outside of losing to the King or Dubz in the play-in.

With Siakam we’re no longer losing these games to the Timberwolves. Let’s make the gamble.

That’s a Durant package, not a Pascal package. And Durant is no longer available, so no thanks.

Would rather trade Ant/Sharpe for one piece, and those four picks for another piece.

  13. shelvino

Don’t even think that is enough salary for Siakam right?

  14. dragonturtle5575

It’s too much. He’s fantastic and all-nba caliber but he’s not Anthony Davis or Paul George. Even Rudy gobert, for all his perceived shortcomings in the playoffs, was a 3 time all nba & 3 time DPOY at the time of being traded.

    looking at that trade:

    • Malik Beasley
    • Patrick Beverley
    • Leandro Bolmaro
    • Walker Kessler (No. 22 pick in 2022 Draft)
    • Jarred Vanderbilt
    • 2023 first-round pick
    • 2025 first-round pick
    • 2026 pick swap
    • 2027 first-round pick
    • 2029 first-round pick

A lot of picks, but Anfernee is much more valuable than all of those players combined. A Rudy Gobert like package for Siakam would be Simons Hart and 3 picks. Which would be a toned down version of the clippers trade at the time of Paul George being traded:

    •Galo
•SGA (perceived as way less valuable back then, coming off a 10.8 pt second team all rookie campaign)
    •5 picks

Simons, once again, is more valuable than either of those guys at the time of being traded. Galo was a good vet at the end of his contract, and SGA was a semi-proven, high potential sophomore. And, Siakam is not at the level of Paul George. He’s close, but not there.

Another comparable recent trade would be Anthony Davis — but, again, Siakam is not Anthony Davis. Not saying he’s not fantastic but pelicans Anthony Davis was a different level.

    Trade

Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, three future first-round picks and one additional option to swap selections.

Simons value is likely around Ingrams at that point. Ingrams height, draft spot, and potential bolster his value. But Simons’ pure value as a catch and shoot 3 point shooter make a player like him invaluable in the modern nba. The edge probably goes to Ingram but not by much. Lonzo and Sharpe are kinda the same too. Edge to Lonzo cause of draft position maybe? Maybe edge to Sharpe though cause of all the worrying signs Lonzo had already shown? Not sure. Hart Lakers is a better asset than blazers Hart, though not by a lot.

Now if we’re trading for 2019 Anthony Davis, yeah, Simons Sharpe Hart 3frps and swaps. Done. If it’s siakam, you take away Sharpe.

Mitchell is the last one and probably the most Siakam level of player.

Lauri Markkanen, rookie wing Ochai Agbaji, guard Collin Sexton, three unprotected first-round picks (2025, 2027 and 2029) and two pick swaps (2026 and 2028)

Simons trade value clears all of those guys. Lauri was not the guy he’s been this year and Sexton could score but wasn’t looking great. Simons Hart and 3 frps is a more valuable package than that.

Seems like they are devaluing Simons as a trade asset.

  15. Shepard_Wrex14

I’d trade Anfernee and a pick or Anfernee and Sharpe. But not Anfernee, Sharpe and multiple picks

  16. Rawesome16

No. They dont get both of our young assets

  17. ApuFromTechSupport

take 3 picks or Shaedon off and Id probably agree

  18. twomoreweeeks

The same pascal that didn’t score in the first 6 minutes of a game the other night? Might trade badji straight up.

  19. Just to clarify, the Toronto Raptors did not post this. One single crack-smoking poster did.

  20. RichardRDown

1 less pick or drop the 2 pick swaps.

This trade doesn’t work with Jerami at the 3. The trade brings more overall talent to the team but just doesn’t make the team balanced enough.

  21. Losalou52

So, if this is even close to Siakams value, what is Dames value? I would personally rather be a seller in this market than a buyer.

  22. hotsauceslinger

😂…. I would do ant, watford and 2 second round picks.
