The Celtics traded a bunch of negative players clogging up their rotation for Derrick White and Daniel Theis and had one of the biggest turnarounds in NBA history that ended in a finals berth.
Literally all it takes is a move or two but our FO is more concerned with dodging the repeater tax than trying to compete. If we punt this season we let 65+ million in expiring contracts go to waste and are going to struggle to rebuild with just 30 million in cap next year. The AD and LeBron era might as well be over.
The West is wide open this year. 0 doubt in my mind we’d be a top 3 seed if we just did the Indiana deal before the season. [I’ve posted before about how bball index’s estimations put a starting lineup of Bev/Hield/LeBron/AD/Turner roughly on par with the Celtics and Warriors last year.](https://i.redd.it/nf84vf5iwuv91.png) Hopefully it’s still on the table

Doubt it’s still on the table unless they start losing a bunch between now and the deadline
we should’ve been over .500 if AD made those FT vs philly and boston…
if we can do a 7-3 and maintain healthy..we might reach to 5-6 seed..
Ok the thing is both sides can have it their way. The Lakers can make a smart trade that will make fans happy and they can avoid the repeater tax. There is no reason to try with a wide open west. A players like Burks and other expiring contracts can help the Lakers and help the FO with next year cap.
Still don’t like the amount of losses but it’s crazy to think we’re still competitive after starting 2-10. I feel like if this same thing happened last year we would’ve just gave up
That’s why Bron botta do an interview
A solid defensive wing with a 3 ball and a knockdown shooter will do wonders for this team.
1.5 back from 8th seed with a decimated roster. Building some chemistry. We may sneak in the playoffs lol.
Celtics had a way better roster last year than the Lakers do rn. Don’t expect much from the Lakers
comparing one of the league’s best front office…to the league’s very worst front office…having a hard time seeing the correlation…
For us it wouldn’t really be a turn around. More just getting healthy.
9/10 times we play any team, we have the top 2 players on our side. Their 3-15 is just so much better our 1-2 guys can’t make up for it
