  1. I'm not gonna act like ive been paying attention the pistons so i cant say much right now about them but i have a question
is casey the main problem? or is there a bigger problem?

  2. I'm a Killian fan and think he is normally a very good defender, but neither he nor Ivey were stopping any penetration. Yes, he had several steals, but Tre Jones ate Killian for lunch. Not singling him out because as I said I'm a long time fan of Killian. It was a layup drill for SA and to me maybe the Pistons worst performance of the season.

  3. Saddiq continues to be horrible on fast breaks. He keeps it when he should pass and passes when he should go strong, and he rarely plays above the rim.

  4. Jaden Ivey needs to start playing d or he can get benched just like Saddiq did. There should be no sacred cows in that regard. Also I'm not sure why anyone is surprised by Casey living and dying with Bogdonovic. He did the same thing with Griffin. Because he can't innovate an offense.

  5. …what coach will sit "2" of his starter's in the first "5" minutes of the game….I bet the spurs broke the record of making the most layups in a game " …..I didn't know kill' was not feeling well…

  6. Yep Killa was under the weather and Tee Jones is a bitch. I agree the energy was low…but backing into a number one pick sickens me. Bogies is a great weapon off the bench but starting ? No with zero d.

  7. Pistons defense was virtually non-existant in the 1st qtr. Spurs were getting layups as if it was warm-ups. I started to feel sorry for Duren as he was getting caught in 2 v 1 too often as the guards were getting beat off the dribble. Defense is not just individuals, but a team function & we are sorely missing this aspect

  8. It's everybody, coaching and players. However I think it's more the players fault. Casey is a defensive minded coach, he's been around a long time so he knows what he's doing. But when you don't have a roster that can execute this is what you get. The team is young, they're inconsistent, and have a lot of mental lapses. A lot of the young players just don't understand defensive positioning yet. Ivey is an elite athlete, but his perimeter defense is horrible, he just doesn't get it yet. Duren is the same, all the potential in the world, but his defense isn't there yet. There are just too many below average defenders on this team, there's not much Casey can really do as a coach. To build a good defensive team, you have to bring in the right players. This is on Troy Weaver as well.

  9. I don't think Bogey is traded this year, next year maybe if they are bad again. But with Cade back next year, another rookie and a chance to reset. Bogey still has a chance to be a good piece for this team moving forward.

  10. Thank you! Bojan has to play D. What's the point of scoring 25 a night when you give it right back on defense. I wish Bojan came here to be a vet and not the leading scorer.

  11. Besides kill we have no wing defenders at all and the enthusiasm wasn’t there

  12. I’ve been following the Pistons since 1986 and defense has always defined us when we were at our best. Personnel and coaching moves might be the next step.

If changes need to be made to fix our broken defensive effort or philosophy, let’s do it.

That being said, I’m proud of Kill. He battled and clawed. He modeled what needed to be done. Great shooting night from the kid. Nice dimes. For every turnover, he had a steal to make up for it. This has been a great turnaround year for Killian Hayes. I hope he continues to build on it.

  13. DEFENSE is this team problem… I do understand defense is better when its TEAM DEFENSE by committee as opposed to a couple of individual playing defense. However I wanna point out BAGLEY defense needs some work too didn't wanna overlook that just because he's injured. I point him out bc we overlook his defense. He has the size, athleticism and length just don't have the motor on that end of the floor.

  14. I Hate that nba scoring is so high. It can become just 2 teams scoring everytime until the final 2 minutes. I miss when scoring was around 90 pts and possessions mattered

  15. I’m extremely disappointed in Ivey’s defense. I also can’t stand his overall body language and decision making. I watch every piston game just to monitor his development and I’m sorry Ivey just doesn’t play winning basketball. I hope he can figure it out.
