Bolmaro is a very talented player but not enough to be a primary ball-handler in the league (he would need a lot more athleticism and explosiveness for that) and that would be the ideal role for the kind of abilities he possesses right now. He’s always going to struggle defensively but by all accounts he’s a competitor so he might be able to compensate with IQ and effort on that side of the ball as long as he can offer enough offensively to make it worthwhile for a team. However, in order to carve himself an NBA role he would need to become a reliable shooter first and foremost, then his playmaking could become valuable as a secondary facilitator. Otherwise he would simply be more suited for a career in Europe.
