Royce O neale just had another game winner off an offensive rebound, Im starting to miss him

6 blocks for Kessler in the first 8 minutes was dope. Wish he couldā€™ve gotten to 10.

  3. The jazz officially drop to the 12 seed below the Lakers. Nice!

1-8 over the last 9 more injured now than 2 weeks ago.

The tank very well might be on.

We need to at least figure out how to not give up 120+ every night if we plan on still winning.

Bleh, another game where awful transition defense, awful perimeter defense, poor boxing out, and struggling 3 point shooting did us in.

On the plus side, we’re still getting lots of assists. Kessler is a stud, Markkanen is still good, and the team as a whole fights.

Guess we’re in tank mode now.

Clarksonā€™s body language has been off for a good while now. I really hope everything is ok with him.

    GAME NOTES:

1-2 on this roadtrip not ideal, but not too bad. We lost to some good teams

Firstly, ~~Walker~~ BLOCKLER KESSLER DUDE. 6 BLOCKS TONIGHT IN 8 MINUTES MONSTER MAN. 10-11-6 wowee. He was everywhere defensively, I wish it translated into the second half, but we will take it.

Man, when JC got ejected our team fell flat. Beasley again wasn’t shooting well enough to be our lone offensive contributor when Lauri was sitting, and we really slowed down there

Turnovers. We just gave the Grizzlies so many possessions and fastbreaks from careless passing and bad management. Olynyk had 5 himself, that’s not good

But, Olynyk was able to score efficiently. 7-9 tonight with 8 rebounds and 5 assists, just needed to polish his turnovers and defense. It looked like he tweaked his ankle, so I wonder if he plays Tuesday

Conley so badly needs his shot back. It’s so frustrating seeing him and beasley consistently shoot like 3-14 combined from 3 night after night. Both are good shooters, just in a major slump.

Agbaji continued to get minutes, but went 0-2 tonight. His defense and intensity is great, hope he continues to get minutes when Sexton is back

Still too many Rudy Gay minutes, even though he went 3-5.

Markkanen isn’t able to hit his 3’s too well rn either. Just rough 3 point shooting recently, and I think it’s the insane amount of road games we’ve played.

We do play 11 of our next 13 at the Viv, hopefully that re-energizes us

NAW got minutes, and again contributed well in his minutes. 11 points, only missed one shot, 4 assists and 2 steals.

This loss comes from turnovers. We should’ve won with Ja out, but it’s hard to win when we give the ball away so much.

On a positive we had 7 players in double figures, balanced scoring night, we just couldn’t hit 3’s or take care of the ball.

20-23 Bitches. Kessler game mvp imo

Edit: forgot to mention Adams out as well. Shouldā€™ve been a victory for us, sucks turnovers and poor shooting helped us tank

This performance ends Lauri’s 13 game streak of scoring either 28+ points or shooting 50% from the field.

21 TO as a team, lead by 5 from KO. Given that Iā€™m just impressed this game felt somewhat competitive.
Looking forward to more minutes for Walker Kessler and hopefully more minutes for NAW and Agbaji.

Now Iā€™m back to accepting losses, but I do miss Sexton

JC is a good player, but doesn’t have the right maturity. He’s more of a hindrance to the team

Honest question: What is this team doing between games to get better? I have seen very little evidence that we are trying to fix the turnovers, rebounding or interior defense that has plagued this team all year.

All while we continue to let Rudy Gay run around out there for 15 mins a night.

Maybe with Olynyk hurt, Kessler cracks the starting rotation again. But I just need to start seeing adjustments from this team.

Maybe I’m overreacting a bit to a slump, but Mike has honestly looked kinda washed ever since coming back from injury a few weeks ago. His shot hasn’t been there all season, but early on in the season he was still an elite playmaker that really made our offense really click. But lately he just… hasn’t. It doesn’t feels like there’s much of a dropoff between when Mike is running point vs. Sexton or NAW. I’m almost at the point where I want us to flip him at the deadline for assets and just let the young guys take the reins.

Vando has looked good in the last couple after honestly looking quite bad for a stretch there. Kessler was good obv. Liked what Beasley was doing first half, had a steal, had some boards, couple nice drives, some good passes. Reverted to factory settings and went 2 for 9 from three overall after going 0-7 yesterday.

As a tanking fan, I’m happy. Walker had a great game today
