  1. First off everyone: This was the best news Brooklyn and KD could have gotten with the way jimmy Butler landed on his knee. A isolated MCL sprain. Both the ACL and MCL are full intact. And unlike last year Kevin Durant has an official two week evaluation period meaning he will be back by early next month.

Plus Kevin Durant gets some extra rest to be ready for a stretch run to finish the season out. And now Ben Simmons and Kyrie Irving get to be a duo and lead the nets during this stretch of the schedule.

  2. Plus Brooklyn has six games within the next two weeks and a lot of off days for guys to recover and make new schemes and preparations without Kevin Durant for a bit.

Given that Brooklyn had the toughest opening schedule of the season, the schedule now has benefitted Brooklyn especially when this happened.

Now the onus is on Sean Marks to be even more aggressive this trade deadline to make the right upgrades to build the depth Brooklyn has even more.

  3. Good thing Vaughn played the bench vs the pacers . I think we will be fine. They will double Kyrie more. So shooters have to be ready

  4. Wow! It's an unfortunate time as they have a difficult schedule ahead for the next 21 games and they are going to drop as Jaque Vaughan is not an offensive minded genius here and it's going to either dethrone them or the opposite happens as K. D. is fragile and he's never playing a full season again it's tough folks to accept but he doesn't work out enough for me in the weight room and it shows when the more physical teams want to punch him in the mouth, Ime Udoka blueprint!

  5. Given that Brooklyn has a good depth of players and with the good news on KD recovery, trade news rumors say that Brooklyn could possibly pivot from going after a center to a "star" power forward who could boost their offense more.

Two guys who are at the top of that list are Kyle kuzma and John Collins. Kuzma is a more balanced offensive and defensive player who could add a great balance to Brooklyn rotation. Plus a starting unit of Kevin Durant Kyrie Irving Ben Simmons nic Claxton and Kyle kuzma could be very strong 🔥. Also a rotation of Ben Simmons nic Claxton Kyrie Irving Royce o Neale and Kyle kuzma at present could be a good defensive rotation to hold down the fort until KD return.

John Collins meanwhile is a two position player at power forward and center who could give Brooklyn a lot of rotational versatility. His ability to impact the offense on scoring from the interior and three point line is another important layer of his skillset.

Be interesting to see what move they will make 🤔

  6. Joe Harris needs to step up all that money and he ain't doing squat 😤, TJ Warren hopefully can help out until KD returns

  7. I knew for a fact KD was going to get injured reason why because he always get injured around this time before all star games since he joined Brooklyn nets. Go verify all the timing.

  8. I feel bad for KD
He's my favorite player but this is crazy tho. He has to go through this every year.

  9. He would of been easily get to top ten and I still believe he will get to top ten before the year over.

  10. Listen it sucks that kd is injured I get it … but we r the hottest team in nba and we ain’t going nowhere!!!! I BELIVE

  11. I dont think that they will collapse like last year, they are better rounded, coached, and have Kyrie full time, plus KD will be well rested for the stretch run and the playoffs.

  12. Hopefully this means Brooklyn makes a trade. Vucevic maybe.. KD is always at the rim, contesting shots and battling for rebounds. He’s always down there when these injuries happen. Get someone with some size and girth to help out, and who’s supposed to be there so these injuries don’t happen. Have KD play the 3 & you’ll have more size and girth on the court to make us a better team

  13. I do not feel optimistic about this. The same thing happen last year. We just won 18 out of 20!!!! I am beyond sick right now, damn.😔

  14. Yes, we’re going to MISS KD SO MUCH, but they are going to be fine, their Leader is a WINNER and they are WINNERS ❤❤❤GO BROOKLYN NETS!! Ms.G

  15. Re evaluate in 2 weeks means best case scenario is he is out 4 weeks. Realistically, it’s probably 5 or 6 weeks. For sure they will be cautious in bringing him back. A lot of players will have to pick up the scoring slack including Kyrie, Simmons, T J, Harris, and Yuta. Other players seeing more minutes would likely be Curry, Sumner and Morris. The good thing is that those are all solid capable players. If the Nets continue to lock in on defense and move the ball around on offense they will easily play .500 ball or a little better. Still, KD is a exceptionally formidable offensive AND defensive presence. Those are big shoes to fill. There seems to be so many injuries in the NBA these days.

  16. Jimmy butler did it on purpose I can’t believe more ppl not talking about it smh fuck Jimmy. We most likely go lose a lot just being honest

  17. This is a good opportunity for the Nets. KD is the most seamless Superstar the game has ever seen. We avoided major injury. Now is the time for the role guys to show their worth and build confidence. Kyrie has a chance to solidify a contract opportunity and JV gets to show that he was the right choice at head coach. I’m optimistic for this stretch

  18. This team is more fortified at this point in the season than last year…our bench is strong and if Joe can step up his shooting Ben can give more offensive productivity and Kyrie just keep balling we will be ok

  19. The Brooklyn Nets have been in the business of paying players to DL/ Recover play half a season, get traded by deadline to desired location then pay players to hold a spot

  20. That is unfortunate. I was looking forward to him and those two underachievers getting their rings next October. LOL
