I think a heavily underrated stat that Brunson has had throughout his career is his assist turnover ratio. elite PG typically have it around 2-2.5 but this season he is close to 3 along with his all star scoring. Brunson on the current mavericks roster would be the difference between a title contender and 4-6 range. Luka, dinwiddie, wood, Brunson, and thj would be all the offensive firepower needed along with depth. going to miss that guy.

But have to say the usage rate at NY is much higher than playing next to Luka. Not saying he doesn’t play good, but he would have never had these numbers next to Luka. So lets be real we could have used him well, but for his career it is good that he moved on.

I am still shocked by the incompetence of the front office that first didn’t want to extend him for 55/4 and then capped their offer at 110/5 and lost this man for nothing. Not to mention giving him ridiculous contract that didn’t make him a restricted free agent. That is a staggering amount of idioticism and shortsightedness to save some pennies.

I was watching this game too. It hurts seeing Brunson play so well but at the same time I’m happy for him, even if he went to the Knicks of all teams. The Mavs could really utilize him now. Brunson leading our 2nd unit with Luka on the bench would be great. The team lacks a lot of focus and direction when Luka is on the floor. At least we got Hardy. I really think he could be just as good, if not better than Brunson.

We won’t luck into a guy like him again in a hurry. Cuban is a saboteur

Dw guys people on this sub still insist he struggles against length and his 41 in the Playoffs last year was fraudulent because it was against defensive cones like Conley and Mitchell.
