Giannis, Jokic, Luka, Curry are the best players in the league. Each of them has a different style of play, so it’s hard to say who’s the best.
KD and Embiid are close, but they have too nany injuries and are more of a scorers and can’t really involve their teammets in the same way.

1. Don’t get bent out of shape by these Top N lists as they’re highly subjective, and thus political 2. Top N lists with discreet 1, 2, 3, … ordinal ranks are ridiculous as it creates the illusion of some objective ranking when the underlying method is highly subjective; grouping players into Tiers would be much better 3. Luka is in the same tier as Jokic, and Giannis – we should just leave it at that

Curry is amazing, but I believe at this point he gets a lot of credit based on his legacy and what he has done in the past.
He is one of the NBA icons of last 15 years, but currently it is pretty clear that Luka is on a tier above him.
I see Giannis, Jokic and Luka more as 1a, 1b and 1c. They are a tier above everyone else.

If this was a “right now” ranking though, I would have Luka higher but it doesn’t appear to be.

I think it’s perfectly fine. Depending on what you value on offense, you could take either Curry or Luka and I don’t think it would be controversial.

Well these list always so difficult to talk about since all of those players literally play different type of basketball lol. I can easily put a paragraph where you would say “Yea Luka is best player in NBA” and i can do that for all top6 players. (i think there is a gap between top6 and rest)

And unfortunately it does (currently) not feel wrong that only two other Mavs are in the list, and that around the 80 mark. If Wood keeps up what he is showing right now, or even improves on it, he’ll be much higher soon, though.
Frightening, but correct that GSW has their entire top 6 in the top 90 (they are still the team to beat if they are ever healthy). Same goes for the Celtics in the east, although I think that Floppy Smart is ridiculously overrated and never a top 100 player, let alone the 65 where they have him. He is just Pat Bev with more flopping and more stupid hair.

These lists won’t matter in the end. There will be only 1 winner and everyone else a loser. The league is stacked with talent and it could be anyone out of like 7 players.
