I think the Atlanta Hawks can save their season. However, it’ll take some tinkering and adjusting their weaknesses.This is a team that is able to play defense but can’t shoot the three-pointer.

We desperately need new coaching staff. Nate is an old school coach who doesn’t adapt to how teams are playing these days. We don’t run plays, which ends with Trae and DJ playing ISO type of plays. We don’t set screens and we don’t move the ball around enough. Instead, they move the ball when the ball handler is trapped, which forces passes and leads to interception. Trae is Trae, so he’s getting buckets, but he still needs help. Trae is attempting to play more defense, and Collins is playing better defense. I’m thinking that’s DJ’s influence. Get a new coach who can run some decent plays. Then get a big center like Cousins who can help when Capela is out.

I'm feeling optimistic about the Hawks season after the road trip, especially after beating Kawhi. We NEVER beat Kawhi, and we did it on the road after blowing a double-digit lead and being down by double digits with 6:43 to go in the 4th quarter. Plus, I hear that Trae and Nate are getting along better. The Hawks can turn their season around if they really want to.
