How would you change the rotation if TJ McConnell is out in New York?
Nesmith up there with Grimes in blow-by rate.
Been a while since Pacers v Knickerbockers had some meaning. Both teams in the hunt, should be a classic.
I think Myles Turner wants to leave because he doesn't feel like he is appreciated here. I don't blame him because all I have heard the past few years is Turner trade talks.
Been thinking a lot about what the Pacers should do if Myles Turner doesn't agree to a contract extension & this is the best trade scenario that I've been able to come up with so far. And before anybody asks, yes I put it through a trade machine with a cap manager and it all works for all teams involved. The trade would have 3 teams involved in it – Pacers, Wizards, Warriors & would look like this:
Wizards – (+ $1.2 M)
PG – TJ McConnell From Pacers
F/C – Daniel Theiss From Pacers
SG – Moses Moody From Warriors (Used Trade Exception)
Pacers 2023 Round 2
Pacers 2025 Round 2
Warriors – (- $818 K)
C – Myles Turner From Pacers
C – Goga Bitadze From Pacers
Wizards 2027 Round 2
Pacers – (- $453 K)
F – Kyle Kuzma From Wizards
PF – Rui Hachimura From Wizards
C – James Wiseman From Warriors
PF – Jonathan Kuminga From Warriors
SG – Donte Divincenzo From Warriors
Warriors 2025 Round 2
I know it's not perfect, but at least the Pacers will still get something instead of nothing if they just lose Myles in FA & they can unload Daniel Theiss & Goga & still get something in return. This also gives them the chance to put in Jalen Smith as the main Center for the team & see how it goes, along with giving James Wiseman the 2nd/Backup role behind Smith. Then of course they would still have the option to waive a few of the contracts they get back in return if they don't see a use for them on the team going forward.
