Context on the “treadmill team” talk that’ll likely come up from the headline:

    >It’s really not. The message is that trading each player comes with a real downside that people don’t want to talk about. That doesn’t mean they shouldn’t make trades, just that we have to consider those potential downsides

Well the first problem with this article is calling Trent part of the core when the front office very clearly does not.

The best argument someone can make for keeping this core together is “they suck as is, you don’t need to do much besides minute management to get a Top 5-7 pick” and even then it’s malpractice to not listen to what other offices are offering.

Looking for “cap” in the article and the only match was Fred being the “captain” of this team.

We can’t really talk about keeping everyone around without looking at standing and our cap sheet.

I really wish Fred was our 6th man, like even for 20 mill, come off the bench, play 20-25 min and just rally the troops for when the starters have to rest. Unfortunately he’s gonna want the bag and prolly wouldn’t be happy with that role. Oh well, I hope he proves me wrong and thrives!

  5. I firmly believe we can just move Freddy, keep GTJ, and build around that new core with whatever lottery pick we get next year and be alright.

  6. I think if anything you go as young as possible, I get Siakam is fantastic but I still don’t see him as untouchable. If you get the right package you trade him and try to surround the core of Gary, Scottie and OG with as much young talent as possible.
