Athleticism is great, but skills is the more rare gift. And Jokic's skills are generational. Enjoy Jokic while he's here.

There are 2 sides of basketball courts. Offensive and defensive, Giannis anchor both on high level. There’s no skill in standing at the center and throwing passes. No super star wants team up with Jokic. While Steph, Lillard and so on wants to team up with Giannis. Asking all GM in NBA who they want in their team today, I bet 29 will say Giannis.

Jokic is one of the most skilled ever and is up there for the highest basketball iq ever with magic, bird,lebron and cp3 you know you're one of the best when you can completely control games with just passing and your brain those guys above can do that and so does jokic and not many players can do that

The disrespect for Hakeem is ridiculous. If you didn't see him play you don't realise just how good he was.
They are underselling Jokic's last year. Not only did he keep nuggets relevant without 2nd or 3rd guy, he dominated NBA history in advanced stats. Bear in mind advanced stats are actually relevant to winning unlike box score stats, and most of them are nearly impossible to pad. In fact the more you play and dominate the ball, usually your advanced stats go down. He is untouchable in these stats that were invented to uncover true value of a player. To me that's way more impressive than Westbrook's mvp season.
As a Nuggets fan I wouldn't mind if Giannis took home another MVP. Right now they're both separating from the pack.
Rules changes to make it a more European style of basketball. The rules were purposely changed to accommodate that style of play. Part of it was making the game global another part was neutralizing the sheer athletic ability of American born players. The league has been looking for Jokic /Luka since the decline and retirement of Larry Bird.
You know Jokic is doing something really special this season to finally win over Perk. It feels odd hearing him praise Joker without immediately being followed by "but Joel. . . "
