As a Jazz fan I'm more than fine if they take one step back to finish this season in order to take 2 steps forward next season. Bring on the trades if it improves the team for the long term! We shouldn't get overly attached to players at this stage of their 'rebuild.' Hoping to watch a championship tier team in a few years.
The goal of every nba team should be to make the playoffs. Totally understand the benefit of improving your draft odds and teams should do that but not because it’s the goal. The jazz actually have a path to the playoffs and the lottery. That’s smart way to go about it. Not going to hurt my feelings if the jazz drafted in the lottery two or three times. Maybe they get another 2023 pick on a trade and get more choices for next year. Still need to make the most of this season while working next season. Jazz very fun to watch and that is a form of success. Clarkson will be moving on sooner then later and so will other vets. Not a fan of John Collins like Monty.
Why Monty wants a over paid and underperforming player from hawks doesn’t work for me. Maybe do it if it comes with picks but not happening. Hawks think he is an all star ⭐️ he is playing like crap 💩
Avoid John and work the current roster. Draft some talent and keep your money. Eventually the players will see jazz have money to spend and will come. 😊 hard to believe but money talks and bs walks.
If Monty gets his way with that trade then we hope jazz can unlock his potential. Just stop over paying.

I do agree with monty in making trades. Just be smart about it. As a gm I’d take a low ball approach with the min spend and hard caps. Let the team split the money when gm underspend. Basically a bonus for the team rather then contracting at the max and giving money to one special player or two or three like the warriors. They spend double the money like they have so much money….now the commissioner wants to cap that because Monty right …they making money with other plays and it screws the small market teams often 😮
The jazz can be good and make the playoffs. What happens from there is proven on the court. May the best team win when it counts. Go Jazz 🎉
