   Best of luck to Schakel, who gets a chance with a new club closer to home. Turned a training camp invite and G League success into a two-way contract and played 6 games with the Wiz.

   Williams was a four-year, all-conference level big at Purdue who spent Summer League with the Celtics. He’s a plus rebounder and post scorer with some playmaking upside. Needs to work on his range but will fill the minutes gap from the Echenique trade.

   So I have a question about g league.. if a player belongs to the Wizards G League team, does that mean the Wizards have dibs on them even though they aren’t on a two way contract? Or can any team just step in and sign someone?
