[Amick] Executives who have spoken to the Hawks about acquiring the veteran forward (Collins) recently have indicated that the asking price has declined significantly this time around. In some scenarios, the Hawks are merely asking for a quality player in return (and not a 1st-round pick)

>After all these years of John Collins trade rumors, executives who have spoken to the Hawks about acquiring the veteran forward recently have indicated that the asking price has — understandably — declined significantly this time around.

>As I detailed in my recent conversation with Collins, the combination of his large contract and his declined production is hardly helpful in terms of his modern-day value.

>In some scenarios, the Hawks are merely asking for a quality player in return (and not a first-round pick), according to league sources.

I knew that contract was gonna corrupt his value.

Is Amick the legit guy or is it Amico? I always forgot whose who lol

John collins for Patrick Williams who says no? Hawks? Bulls? Both? Neither?

  4. Kinda want to see him outside a Trae young offense, dont see why he can’t be an efficient 15 ppg on a playoff team like the bucks.

  5. edmarcake

Trade for Harrison Barnes + davion mitchell who says no.

  6. SonicdaSloth

Got to be some version of Collins for Tobi deal that can be made

  7. AngsMcgyvr

That’s literally Amir Coffey. Why won’t they take my calls

  8. Opiate_Addiction

Is his finger still fucked up? Is that why his 3p% has dipped so much? Pretty concerning if so

  9. $25 mil per year for a rim roller is bad. He is not a good defender or shooter either.

Babe wake up it’s time for your daily “Hawks want to trade Collins” post.

Literally 2 days the reports were we wanted multiple firsts a la Rudy Gobert and now it’s not even a first??

    This is absolute trash

Turns out being on the trade block for 3 years straight diminishes someone’s value

  12. Diesel33g

We can offer you a Bertans or Bullock for your trouble

  13. IncaseAce

I’ll give you a slightly benched Darius Bazley and even a first if you want

Edit: before you jump me im joking 😭

  14. KangzAteMyFamily

I think hes much better than he’s shown this year. Am I crazy?

  15. Polo-panda

One quality Russell Westbrook coming right up!

  16. AccomplishedRainbow1

May i interest you in one Jae Crowder?

  17. donetheydone

Joe Harris for Collins straight up. Who says no?

  18. DickSadler

Well, yeah. It’s John Collins. He’s…fine

  19. mrmercenary10

Why? JC has been balling these last couple weeks, granted Capela has been injured… but still. Hawks never know which side is up, can never take advantage of any scenario.

  20. richard_glutes

Collins for Wiseman, a role player, and a future 2nd?

  21. amino110

Hawks are basically begging for someone to take up his contract. His trade would be a salary dump

  22. iainturfather

I’ll give you one extremely fresh Jae Crowder 🙏🏻🙏🏻

  23. amino110

Donnie gave them Maxi Kleber in the trade deadline before they re-signed him , and they refused.

  24. Given the contract and his stats this year, a discount is completely appropriate. However, if he goes to a competent team with a real offense scheme and non-clown show FO, it will be an absolute steal. He is going to ball out for his next team.

Would honestly be the dumbest thing this front office has done in awhile and that’s saying something

  26. DaRandomBro

How about Richaun Holmes, Terence Davis, Alex Len, and we unprotect the first we gave y’all for Huerter?

  27. Ravens181818184

JOHN COLLINS YOU ARE A WASHINGTON WIZARD

  28. VeryStandardOutlier

lol, I only saw the Trae picture on my phone before expanding the description and I thought you all were insane for a second for thinking the Hawks would trade Trae

  29. Eaglesfan1997sb

People really want to blame Nate, he’s objectively a good coach regardless of what Pacers fans say, there is nothing you can do with this mess of a front office. One of the worst in the league.

  30. Raptorsthrowaway1

Raptors have too many 6-9 guys that cant shoot so I wouldnt want to make a move

But a number of teams should roll the dice on buying low on JC. I think his fit is akward in Atlanta. Could be a really good 3rd guy on a play off team IMO.

Oh to be a Hawks fan. Oh wait, I unfortunately am
