[Stein] In recent weeks, league sources say, Atlanta has blessed John Collins’ representatives to do their own searching for a deal construction that enables Collins to move on to a new team.

> In recent weeks, league sources say, Atlanta has blessed John Collins’ representatives to do their own searching for a deal construction that enables Collins to move on to a long-anticipated new address after constant trade speculation involving the sixth-year forward stretching across multiple transaction cycles.

> That widely expected deal obviously hasn’t materialized yet, while Atlanta’s front office is only just emerging from the throes of the sort of in-season overhaul you rarely see thanks to the sudden transfer of power from Travis Schlenk to Landry Fields and Nick Ressler (son of Hawks owner Tony Ressler). As has been reported for weeks now, varying degrees of interest in Collins have been registered by Washington, Utah, Brooklyn and Indiana.

Collins’ reps: send him to Golden State, Boston, Denver, or Brooklyn

    This feels like the Wizards

Nets wouldn’t be bad, but they’re probably going Durant/Simmons/Clax as the front court so maybe the minutes aren’t there

“we cant find anyone that wants your ass, maybe you can do a better job than we can”

  4. everything_raptors

Ah yo John.. you wanna help us do our job?

Collins’s usage is 16.18% this season, the lowest of his career. That ranks 183rd among NBA starters just below offensive juggernauts such as Jermy Sochan. Get this guy out of Atlanta.

  6. RosaReilly

I have no idea what this guy is good at and what a team would want him for.

I hope the hawks watched bazley last night :DDDDD

not really a good shooter, 36% since he started shooting threes, but it’s 3 attempts a game, and if you look at the shots, it’s all wide open 6+ ft of space only

idk about the picks so ya’ll could come up with that, but just the players

    Collins for Oubre and PJ

    Collins for Bojan

Collins for Jalen Smith and Brissett

Collins for Delon and Kuzma (once again, idk about the picks)

    Collins for Hart and Winslow

Imagine Hawks trade Collins for Bertans and JaVale. Imagine……

Raps and clippers fans in here talking about needing a 14th forward/wing

This thread makes me wonder if there’s like a different John Collins out there who’s really All NBA level and I’m just confusing him with the guy on the Hawks.

There was a time when Collins was averaging 20/10+ on great efficiency as a 2nd/3rd year player. People ITT are underestimating his abilities I think. His defense is poor and his offense still does have holes but he is a good player who has been completely destroyed by an incompetent organization and relegated to a system player.

  14. SwishBreak

Sean Marks is obsessed with this guy and has been for awhile. I think Brooklyn makes the trade for him

Hawks: fuck it, trade yourself and we’ll figure it out later

  16. ZzzSleepyheadzzZ

Mavs could offer a straight swap for THJ I think it’d be great for both sides

  17. PrinceKarmaa

if the hawks manage to somehow trade him for kuzma i’ll be so ecstatic

Don’t see why he can’t find success like Aaron Gordon has with the nuggets, slot him onto a passing team where he can be a third option PNR man, and he’s a matchup nightmare. Pacers would be a good fit?

  20. AlphabeticalMedical

Would love to have him in Charlotte

  21. Slurms_McKenzie775

I would love to have him on the Kings but they would probably have to send Barnes in return and I don’t know if that’s worth. Unless our front office knows they can not re-sign Barnes.

  22. hayzeusofcool

For all of his shortcomings, Collins really most be consistently stressed out by these year-long trade rumors(though a year is putting it lightly.) The Hawks have technically done right by him, but he deserves a new team.

  23. Thieveslanding1911

I feel like we’ve been hearing reports about this guy wanting out for like 3 years. At this point I wanna see it happen or stop hearing about it

  24. Why is Quickley in this thumbnail? The Knicks have John Collins at home w/ Obi

  25. Radiowave284

Warriors are probably checking this out, Travis Schlenk used to be in the GSW organization
